Job Summary
As a Motor Control Engineering Manager, you will join a highly motivated team dedicated to developing innovative solutions for customers in the Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV), Robotics, and Industrial Automation sectors. Inthis role, you will be responsible for the specification, design and implementation of our motor control algorithms. You will work closely with Firmware, Validation, and Field Application Engineers to fulfil the requirements of our Engineering department. Additionally, you will conduct fault investigations and resolve issues as they arise.
Job Description
• Define requirements and develop advanced motor control algorithms while overseeing their implementation by the team, focusing on various types of motors (SPM, IPM, IM, DC), etc.
• Supervise the existing motor control algorithms maintenance.
• Supervise the safety and reliability analysis of motor control algorithms to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Produce and review technical documents, test procedures, specifications and standards.
• Participate actively in technical design and implementation reviews across teams and functions.
• Ensure to advance engineering processes to stimulate competitive success.
• Contribute all new ideas of product as well as process innovation.
• Mentor and develop engineering teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and knowledge sharing.
• Develop relationships with other engineering teams.
Skills and Knowledge required:
• Bachelor's degree in engineering is required. A master's or PhD in Electrical Machines and Drives is a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in motion control R&D projects.
• Proficiency in Simulink for modeling and simulation of motor control systems.
• Experience in motor drives modeling and strong knowledge of inverter and control systems design.
• Experience with embedded microcontroller programming and especially with ARM Cortex (STM32, NXP) microprocessors is considered a plus.
• Proficiency in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent leadership, team management, and problem-solving abilities.
• A positive, proactive attitude with a passion for driving innovation and learning
