Team/Role Overview:

Join Citi’s Regulatory Operations Change Team within SMBIC Data and Regulatory Operations. This team plays a critical role in executing regulatory change initiatives, including:

  • Implementing new and amended regulations

  • Remediating regulatory and audit findings

  • Developing strategic control frameworks

This role offers an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of regulatory change within a dynamic global bank.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead and deliver multiple MiFID Post-Trade Transparency projects, ensuring timely execution and adherence to regulatory requirements.

  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (Operations & Technology, Compliance, Legal, Risk, Internal Audit, and Business Units) to achieve project objectives.

  • Champion change management principles, develop comprehensive project documentation, and implement project management best practices.

  • Represent Citi in industry forums, contributing to thought leadership and best practice sharing.

  • Contribute to NFRR (Non-Financial Regulatory Reporting) commitments related to various regulatory mandates.

What we’ll need from you:

  • Project Management Expertise: Demonstrated success managing complex projects, encompassing planning, execution, risk management, stakeholder management, and communication. Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools is highly desirable. You are a meticulous planner with excellent time management skills, capable of managing multiple work streams concurrently.

  • Regulatory Knowledge: A strong understanding of MiFID II/MiFIR regulations is preferred, including transaction reporting, transparency requirements, and best practices. Experience with other relevant NFRR regulations (e.g., EMIR, SFTR) is also highly valued.

  • Financial Services Experience: Background in financial services operations or technology, preferably with exposure to trade reporting systems and processes.

  • Communication & Collaboration: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and concisely to diverse audiences. Proven ability to effectively collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels.

  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical abilities to assess complex information, identify risks and issues, and develop effective solutions.

  • Industry Engagement: Experience participating in industry forums and engaging with trade associations and regulatory bodies is advantageous.

  • Compliance & Risk Management: Understanding of compliance and risk management principles within the financial services industry.

  • Technology Proficiency: Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and project management software. Experience with trade reporting systems is a plus.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., finance, business, economics, information technology). Relevant professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are a plus.
