The quality of the user experience has been a key reason of Akeneo' success. The ease of use of our products is recognised worldwide by our customers/users, partners and market analysts.
We're looking for a talented Product Designer to join our Design team of 12, on a permanent basis. We're open to Mid-level and Senior applicants.
Akeneo Product Designers serve a vital role in the company, from contributing to the strategy of their product remit, to crafting every detail in the product. In this role, you will own the design of an exciting set of products.
Outside of the Design team, you will work in a dedicated Impact Team. On a daily basis, you will collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers and Product Marketing Managers to deliver exceptional value to our customers and users.
Your missions:

  • Lead end-to-end product design activities for your team, with an impact-oriented mindset. Bring team members together during the entire design journey.
  • Conduct lean & continuous research activities, such as user/customer/partner interviews, surveys, usability testing, co-creation programs, etc.
  • When valuable, create design artifacts such as sketches, flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI.
  • Work closely with engineering to ensure a high-quality implementation and outstanding user experience.
  • Co-design with your team, Design peers and customers. Solicit and provide constructive feedback on a regular basis.
  • Work with our Design Ops, Researchers and the rest of the Design team to continuously improve our ways of working.
  • Ensure design consistency by contributing to our Design System, allowing us to continuously raise the bar of user experience for our entire product suite.
  • Socialize design internally: Contribute to increasing the design maturity of the business at all levels, across all departments and teams. You will also have the opportunity to be involved in getting Akeneo and the Design team known externally by writing in the Akeneo blog, contributing to our Design podcast, etc.

Qualifications

  • Whatever your training, you have at least 4+ years of experience in UX/UI/Product design. You have a strong background in UX which includes solid qualitative research skills (interviews, usability testing, etc.) and co-creation methods (cross-functional workshops, design jams, design sprints, etc.).
  • You have significant experience designing in B2B, Saas is a plus.
  • You have a growth mindset, a good emotional intelligence, and embrace change.
  • Ideally, you have experience working in an Impact Team environment.
