Mechanical Engineering Apprentice
Salary: £22,048 per annum plus Veolia benefits
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday
Location: Ballynacor WWtW, Ballynacor Lane, Portadown, Northern Ireland BT635RP. (There will be a requirement to travel between these two sites to share knowledge and learn new skills)
Programme Duration: up to 48 months
Candidate shortlisting will take place on w/c 7th July 2025 and assessment days will take place between w/c 21st July 2025.

Apprenticeship Programme;
During this programme, we'll help you develop your practical and behavioural skills and support you in gaining the technical and professional knowledge required for you to succeed in your career.
As well as this, you’ll also gain a Mechanical Engineering Level 3 Certification.
With many of our colleagues starting as apprentices, you’ll receive full support and guidance from everyone throughout.
By the end of your apprenticeship, you’ll have received industry-standard training and attained qualifications that will enable you to progress and reach your full potential.
What you'll be doing;
Inspecting and fixing equipment, and helping set up new machinery
Following safety procedures and wearing the correct safety gear
Helping with paperwork like risk assessments and maintenance records
Keeping track of spare parts and stock levels
Writing clear shift reports about work completed
Taking on other tasks as needed by supervisors
What we're looking for;
A minimum of 4 GCSEs Grade 4 (C or equivalent) or above/predicted to include Maths, English & Science
A passion for engineering
A high level of flexibility with an eagerness to learn and work in a team environment
Willingness to travel to college and overnight stays if required
Driver's Licence (willingness to get one as travelling between sites for development)
