We are looking for an experienced and driven Marketing Manager to lead the strategy, planning, and execution of campaigns, especially events that fuel demand generation and support our enterprise sales cycle. In this role, you will manage a mix of physical and virtual events — including industry conferences, partner summits, webinars, and proprietary client experiences — all tailored to our technology services audience in public and private sectors.
You will work closely with sales, product, and subject matter experts to ensure every event supports pipeline growth and showcases our position as one of the the UK’s foremost data modernisation companies.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Event Strategy & Program Ownership
- Own the end-to-end event marketing strategy aligned to business goals — including participation at industry trade shows, hosted client events, tech roundtables, and digital webinars.
- Develop an integrated annual events calendar in collaboration with the new business sales team
Planning, Execution & Budget Management
- Manage event timelines, budgets, vendor contracts, venue logistics, and staffing plans.
- Lead on-site execution and post-event debriefs to ensure flawless delivery and continuous improvement.
Sales Enablement & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Collaborate with sales leaders to align events with key accounts and enterprise buyers.
- Create and distribute event collateral, talking points, and follow-up materials for commercial teams.
Sales enablement content development & management
- Responsibility for developing sales enablement content such as powerpoint presentation content, white papers, leave behinds, case studies, in conjunction with subject matter experts in the company
- Responsibility for development and management of content for the Aker website
Data & Reporting
- Track key metrics (registrations, attendance, lead quality, pipeline contribution, ROI) and optimize strategy based on performance insights.
- Maintain accurate records in CRM (Monday.com)
Essential Experience and Competencies:
- 4–7 years of B2B marketing experience, with a strong focus on event strategy and execution in the technology or professional services sector.
- Demonstrated success driving event-based demand generation and supporting long sales cycles.
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills — from executives to external vendors.
- Experience producing both in-person and virtual events.
- Ability to travel for event delivery and management (estimated 10–20%).
Preferred Experience and Competencies:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field.
- Familiarity with ABM (Account-Based Marketing) strategies and enterprise buyer journeys.
- Understanding of current tech industry trends, especially in cloud, data, cybersecurity, AI, or IT consulting.
