Meet Aperture

Aperture is a growth consultancy and advertising partner for ambitious apps, platforms and digital products.

We work across performance marketing, creative strategy, product optimisation, CRM, analytics and experimentation to help companies scale.

Since launching in 2022, we’ve grown quickly, built an exceptional international team and worked with some of the most exciting digital products in the world. We’ve been recognised as Business Consultant of the Year and named 2024’s Most Innovative Growth Agency.

Our job is to make growth happen.

We’ve built our reputation through exceptional work, strong relationships and word of mouth. Now we’re looking for someone to make sure far more people know about it.

Our culture

We care deeply about doing brilliant work and delivering meaningful results for our clients.

  • Client success is our success. Period.
  • We take full responsibility for outcomes and raise blockers early.
  • We’re hungry to learn, experiment and improve.
  • No job is beneath any of us. We support each other and JFDI.
  • We leave our egos at the door. The best idea wins.
  • We give and receive direct, thoughtful feedback.
  • We use evidence to make decisions and measure what our work achieves.

We’re a remote, international team of smart, kind and ambitious people. We move quickly, expect a lot from ourselves and genuinely care about helping one another succeed.

The opportunity

There is already a huge amount happening inside Aperture worth talking about: exceptional client results, original research, strong industry perspectives, exciting events and a team with deep expertise across every part of growth.

What we don’t yet have is someone dedicated to turning all of that into a distinctive and consistent marketing engine.

That’s where you come in.

You’ll own how Aperture shows up in the world, working closely with our founder and wider team to grow our audience, strengthen our reputation and make Aperture one of the most visible and respected names in mobile growth.

You won’t inherit a rigid playbook or wait for a stream of briefs. You’ll have the freedom and responsibility to spot opportunities, develop ideas and make them happen.

One week, you might film a series with our founder, turn a team conversation into a brilliant LinkedIn post and secure a podcast appearance. The next, you could be bringing together 100 people for an event, developing an industry partnership or finding a powerful way to showcase a client result.

It’s a rare combination of content, events, community and brand building - and an opportunity to create a marketing function you can genuinely call your own.

Your client is Aperture, and your job is to make people pay attention.

What you’ll ownContent and social

You’ll turn Aperture’s expertise, work and personality into content people genuinely want to follow.

You will:

  • Build and manage our content strategy and publishing calendar.
  • Write distinctive, insightful content for Aperture and our founder.
  • Film, edit and produce engaging short-form video.
  • Develop repeatable content formats, series and campaigns.
  • Turn results, research, events and conversations into multiple pieces of content.
  • Grow our channels by testing, learning and building on what performs.
  • Create a voice that feels intelligent, opinionated, human and unmistakably Aperture.

You’ll need to be an exceptional writer who can understand a technical subject, find the most interesting angle and communicate it clearly without stripping away what makes it valuable.

Events and community

You’ll create events and experiences that people remember—and want to come back to.

From intimate founder dinners to panels, talks and larger industry events, you’ll own the process from the initial idea through to the final follow-up.

You will:

  • Develop a distinctive calendar of Aperture events and community moments.
  • Find venues, speakers, suppliers, partners and sponsors.
  • Manage budgets, invitations, guest lists and logistics.
  • Run events on the day and create a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
  • Capture and distribute content before, during and after each event.
  • Build meaningful relationships across the app, technology and marketing industries.

You should enjoy walking into a busy room, bringing people together and making sure every detail has been considered.

Brand and growth

You’ll help shape Aperture’s public identity and turn our reputation into measurable growth.

You will:

  • Build and deliver Aperture’s wider marketing plan.
  • Find the strongest stories inside our work, team and culture.
  • Secure partnerships, podcasts, awards, press and speaking opportunities.
  • Create compelling case studies and campaigns around our expertise and results.
  • Experiment with new formats, channels and distribution opportunities.
  • Track audience growth, engagement, event performance and inbound interest.
  • Build simple systems that keep marketing organised, consistent and moving.

You’ll care deeply about the quality of the work, but just as much about whether it reaches the right people and creates a meaningful result.

RequirementsWho we’re looking for

You’re creative, energetic and exceptionally good at making things happen.

You see content opportunities everywhere. You can pull a compelling story from a technical conversation, capture it on camera, write the post, publish it and understand whether it worked.

You bring ideas and momentum, but you also have the organisation and follow-through to turn those ideas into finished work.

You’ll likely have:

  • Excellent writing, editing and storytelling skills.
  • Experience growing a company brand, founder profile or social audience.
  • Confidence filming, directing and editing high-quality social video.
  • Experience planning and running events from beginning to end.
  • Strong creative instincts and an understanding of what makes people stop, share or respond.
  • The confidence to meet new people, build relationships and represent Aperture publicly.
  • The organisation to manage calendars, contributors, suppliers, budgets and deadlines.
  • A commercial, data-informed approach to content and marketing.
  • The ability to work independently without needing every task broken into detailed instructions.
  • A portfolio, social account, showreel or other examples of work you personally created.

You might have worked across social media, founder-led content, copywriting, video, events, community, partnerships, brand marketing, photography or design. You don’t need to be a specialist in every area, and we care more about what you can create than your exact previous job title.

What matters most is that you have strong taste, natural curiosity, high standards and the drive to create work people notice.

Location and travel

Aperture is remote-first, but this role requires regular time in London for filming, events and working with our founder and team. You should expect to be in London around twice per month.

A strong understanding of London - including its venues, restaurants, neighbourhoods and events - will be valuable.

The role will also involve occasional travel across the UK and internationally. You should be comfortable attending conferences and evening events and taking advantage of occasional last-minute opportunities.

You must be able to work in a UK time zone and travel easily when required.

What you need to know about the Belfast Tech Scene

If asked to name the birthplace of the RMS Titanic, you might not say Belfast. Similarly, if asked to name Europe's leading destination for foreign direct investment in new software development, Belfast might not come to mind. Yet, both are true. The city has emerged as a tech powerhouse, recently ranked among the best in the U.K. for tech careers — especially for software developers. It also leads the U.K. with the highest percentage of software development jobs advertised.
