As a Marketing Director (Principal) in Kainos, you will be responsible for managing the Marketing Team and will be responsible for creating market leading campaigns in support of the business’ pursuit plans.  

You will use your extensive expertise and deep commercial knowledge to drive and maximise the impact of marketing on the business. Acting as a trusted, strategic advisor to on marketing, go-to-market plans and evaluating commercial opportunities.  

 

Your key responsibilities will include: 

  • Leading a team of Marketing professionals to successfully create sector/region specific marketing plans, in support of our Sales and Business Development teams to develop pipeline and deliver revenue.  

  • Work closely with other team members to develop and execute webinars, in-person events, i.e. content marketing, partner marketing and digital marketing.  

  • Designing and executing complex end-to-end campaigns that deliver results and support BD qualified opportunities and pipeline value.  

  • Penetrating our target geographies and segments with the right mix of prospecting and ABM techniques in partnership with Sales.  

  • Using a consultative approach and developing partnerships across the business you will seek to understand our customers, their challenges/opportunities.  

  • Owning budget, metrics and fostering an understanding of our efforts through internal reporting and sharing of results.  

  • Responsible for managing, coaching and developing several staff, with a focus on managing employee performance and assisting in their career development.  

  • Act as an external Kainos ambassador - with an external customer focus, you must ensure that you embrace and promote the culture, values and behaviours that make Kainos unique.  

 

 

Minimum (essential) requirements 

  • Prior experience in leading a Marketing function or team.  

  • An expert in Marketing, including the ability to understand the competitive landscape and customer needs to effectively market a product, or service. 

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organisation, including executive and C-level. 

  • Expert networking skills and the ability to build strong and appropriate relationships with senior stakeholders. 

  • Excellent knowledge of digital services concepts and our markets, with the ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services and position them against competitors 

  • Ability to operate in a highly competitive and pressurised environment, making sensible decisions that don’t compromise Kainos  

  • Ability to plan and meet deadlines in accordance with business requirements  

  • Excellent negotiation skills, both from a commercial and contract perspective as well as resolving escalations and diffusing issues 

  • We are passionate about developing people – a demonstrated ability in managing, mentoring and coaching members of your team and wider community is important
