About the role:
As a Market Strategy Specialist for Risk Management in our Capital Markets Sales Growth Office, you’ll be part of a team of self-motivated, high achieving industry experts helping to grow our business by aligning FIS solutions with industry trends in our target markets. By providing strategic insights to our diverse team and client base, you’ll play a critical role in advancing FIS role as a leading provider of solutions for money at rest, money in motion and money at work.
What you will be doing:

  • Position and help sell market leading FIS risk management solutions that solve strategic business problems for banks, insurance firms, asset managers and brokers.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the capital markets industry and banking treasury, risk, finance and capital management, producing industry thought leadership for use inside and outside FIS.
  • Demonstrate prior analytical experience in topics that include: trading and banking book market risk (NTMR), ALM (IRRBB/CSRBB), economic hedging and hedge accounting, IFRS9 impairment, short term liquidity management (ILM), collateral management and optimization, FTP, liquidity management (ILAAP) and capital management (ICAAP).
  • Identify new market opportunities for FIS solutions aligned with industry trends that drive spending patterns at existing clients and new prospects.
  • Prepare and present industry trends and relevant groupings of FIS Risk Management solutions to clients and prospects.
  • Build and qualify new pipeline opportunities consistently, meeting with clients and prospects as part of the FIS pursuit team.
  • Solicit and maintain professional network to cultivate new sales leads.
  • Collaborate with FIS strategy, product, business, commercial, GTM, pre-sales and sales colleagues.
  • Attend and present at industry events to share industry trends and points of view.

What you will need:

  • Experience in capital markets industry sales, consulting, product, operations and/or technology.
  • Prior experience working in a bank in a treasury, risk and/or finance preferred.
  • Disciplined and self-motivated individual with proven track record of exceeding sales quota or similar quantitative performance metrics.
  • Have prior experience establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all levels of management (internally/externally), employees, clients, and public.
  • Prior experience using LinkedIn and other professional social media tools to share thought leadership, maintain professional network and develop new sales leads.
  • Technical knowledge and point of view on the impact of existing and future risk-related regulations including: BCBS 239, BCBS 248, EMIR Refit, MiFID, Basel 3.1 and IV, FRTB, etc…
  • Solid understanding of the typical financial services software sales lifecycle.
  • Travel is required for FIS team events and client/prospect meetings.
  • Languages: English required but other European languages preferred (German, French, Spanish and Italian)

Added bonus if you have:

  • Regulatory licensing or other similar certifications
  • Established track record of involvement in capital markets industry trade groups.
