As a global leader in cybersecurity, CrowdStrike protects the people, processes and technologies that drive modern organizations. Since 2011, our mission hasn’t changed — we’re here to stop breaches, and we’ve redefined modern security with the world’s most advanced AI-native platform. Our customers span all industries, and they count on CrowdStrike to keep their businesses running, their communities safe and their lives moving forward. We’re also a mission-driven company. We cultivate a culture that gives every CrowdStriker both the flexibility and autonomy to own their careers. We’re always looking to add talented CrowdStrikers to the team who have limitless passion, a relentless focus on innovation and a fanatical commitment to our customers, our community and each other. Ready to join a mission that matters? The future of cybersecurity starts with you.

About the Role:

At CrowdStrike, our Pre Sales Engineers provide the technical knowledge, experience and understanding to allow existing and new customers and partners to gain maximum value from our technology, from building world-class Security Operation Centres to acute post-breach response. The Pre Sales Manager leads this team, providing inspiration, guidance, training, development and assistance to drive the business forward.

What You'll Do:

You will be expected to build, develop and retain a strong team in a rapidly growing and evolving company. You’ll undoubtedly be required to recruit new team members to support the company growth, so you will need both a strong industry network and an excellent ability to work hand in hand with our recruitment team. However, you’ll also need to build from within, helping SEs in your team raise and refine their skills, implementing training programs and mentoring across the team.

Your partners will be the Regional Directors of Sales for Nordics. You will need to be joined at the hip, planning and executing together on a shared vision. In region you’ll also be partnered with a number of Marketing, Channel and other leaders, each with their own needs. To succeed, you will need to have a set of open, transparent relationships, building on mutual trust with each of these functions.

Building wider relationships is also going to be key; Pre Sales can’t operate without the Post Sales team, so you will also be working with the Technical Account Management and Support Managers to ensure a great handover of existing accounts and ongoing management. You will need to have an open dialogue with your peers in our Reseller Partners, SIs, MSSPs, Store Partners and Technical Partners (3rd party vendors etc). Finally, you’ll provide input back to the Product Management, Product Marketing Management and CTO team on future product and service developments your team discovers in the field, especially competitive intelligence.

The technical, commercial, communication and negotiation skills needed to accomplish team  goals won’t always be provided by others. While you will spend a lot of time coaching, you will also need to directly involve yourself in the most complex and valuable opportunities. To do this well you will need to bring industry knowledge and experience and the ability and willingness to do the job of a Pre Sales Engineer from time to time. In short, sometimes you just roll up your sleeves and get stuck in.

In addition, you will work alongside Marketing and have opportunities to present at industry conferences and marketing events, promoting the CrowdStrike brand and technology as well as your own capabilities.

What You'll Need:

  • Pre-sales/technical experience within networking and/or security

  • Planning and organisational skills

  • Ability to influence departmental management teams

  • Proven problem solving skills

  • Experience in working with channel partners

  • Experience working in an IT security business

  • Leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and execute in a methodical and disciplined manner. Set and manage expectations with senior stake-holders and team members

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to present to a variety of external audiences, including being able to interact with senior executives

  • A willingness to be challenged and a strong desire to learn

  • Must be prepared to travel to client meetings where necessary

  • Line management experience, including managing teams remotely

  • Security certifications, CISSP, CISM, Security+, CEH, etc

What you need to know about the Belfast Tech Scene

If asked to name the birthplace of the RMS Titanic, you might not say Belfast. Similarly, if asked to name Europe's leading destination for foreign direct investment in new software development, Belfast might not come to mind. Yet, both are true. The city has emerged as a tech powerhouse, recently ranked among the best in the U.K. for tech careers — especially for software developers. It also leads the U.K. with the highest percentage of software development jobs advertised.
