About the Role/Specialty
As the Manager of the Business Development Team supporting NA, you will be responsible for leading and driving the business development initiatives in this region for the Enterprise and MidMarket segment. Your primary focus will be to expand our partnerships, identify growth opportunities, and support revenue generation across multiple markets. This role will involve managing a team, collaborating with global stakeholders, and strategically fostering new business relationships.
What you'll do
You will lead, mentor, and manage a team of Business Development professionals, coaching to weekly, monthly, and quarterly metrics alongside support and mentorship to ensure their success.

  • You will develop and implement strategies to expand Canva's sales pipeline presence in the North American region aligning with the company's overall objectives in the Mid-Market and Enterprise segmentation.
  • You will identify and cultivate strategic partnerships and business opportunities that drive growth and revenue in these regions.
  • You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, Product, and Customer Success, and Marketing Operations to ensure alignment and successful execution of business development strategies.
  • You will analyze market trends, competitive landscapes, and customer needs to provide insights and recommendations for business expansion and product development.
  • You will coach a team establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, clients, and industry partners using a specific and relevant Sales Process.


What we're looking for

  • 1-2 Years of Business Development Manager experience with a consistent track record of performance against metrics
  • 1-2 Years of Experience in B2B SaaS sales with a track record of success selling to MidMarket and Enterprise customers
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strategic thinking and ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment.
  • Experience with tools like Salesforce, Pocus, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo is preferred.
  • Experience in the technology, SaaS, or a related industry is preferred.
