Position Summary
The Swiss-AS AMOS Data Migration Expert will play a critical role for supporting the
implementation, configuration, optimization, and data migration activities related
to the AMOS Maintenance & Engineering (M&E) system for aircraft Entry into
Service (EIS) programs and fleet transition projects.
The incumbent will collaborate closely with Engineering, Maintenance Planning,
Technical Records, Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, Continuing Airworthiness
Management Organization (CAMO), IT, and project stakeholders to ensure
successful aircraft phase-in activities, data integrity, regulatory compliance, and
operational readiness.
As a Subject Matter Expert (SME), the role will provide functional and technical
expertise in AMOS system configuration, data migration, validation, testing, and
post-implementation support while ensuring adherence to aviation industry
standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
AMOS Functional Expertise
- Serve as the AMOS SME for Maintenance & Engineering operations.
- Configure and support AMOS modules in line with business requirements.
- Analyse processes and recommend AMOS best-practice solutions.
- Coordinate with business users, IT teams, and Swiss-AS support.
- Support system testing, validation, documentation, and user training.
Aircraft EIS & Fleet Transition
- Manage AMOS setup for aircraft induction, fleet expansion, and transition
projects. - Configure aircraft master data, maintenance programs, task cards, and engineering records.
- Manage aircraft configuration data and technical records.
- Ensure operational readiness and compliance with EASA, FAA, and local regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate technical data integration from OEMs and lessors.
Data Migration Activities
- Lead end-to-end AMOS data migration activities.
- Define migration strategies, data governance standards, and validation processes.
- Perform data extraction, cleansing, mapping, transformation, reconciliation, and testing.
- Migrate and validate aircraft master data, utilization records, maintenance programs, ADs, SBs, technical records, and serialized components.
- Prepare migration reports, audit documentation, and compliance evidence.
Project Management & Stakeholder Coordination
- Support project planning, execution, cutover, and go-live activities.
- Coordinate with Engineering, CAMO, Maintenance Planning, Supply Chain, Quality, and IT teams.
- Identify and mitigate project risks related to system implementation and data quality.
- Deliver user training and knowledge transfer sessions.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure compliance with aviation regulations and organizational standards.
- Support audits and regulatory inspections.
- Maintain data integrity, traceability, and quality throughout migration activities.
Required Technical Skills: Strong hands-on experience with:
- Strong hands-on experience with AMOS Core, Engineering, Maintenance
- Planning, Production, Technical Records, Inventory Management, Fleet & Configuration Management Modules.
- Experience with AMOS APN 261 (Data Transfer), Parameters configurations, Database Module, and Xfiles management.
Data Migration Skills
- ETL processes, data mapping, cleansing, reconciliation, validation, and migration testing.
- SQL, advanced Microsoft Excel, Power BI (or equivalent reporting tools).
- Data governance, reporting, and audit controls.
Aircraft Maintenance & Engineering Knowledge
Knowledge of:
- Aircraft Maintenance Programs, Aircraft Utilisations, ADs, SBs, EOs, MPDs, reliability programs, configuration management, and serialized component management.
- Fleet induction, transition, and aircraft phase-in projects.
Systems Integration Knowledge
- ERP and MRO system integrations.
- OEM data imports, API-based integrations, interface management, and digital records management.
Required Aviation Experience
- 5–10 years of experience in Aviation Maintenance & Engineering systems.
- 3–5 years of hands-on Swiss-AS AMOS administration and support experience.
- Proven experience supporting aircraft induction, EIS, fleet transition, or phase-in projects.
- Experience within Airline, MRO, CAMO, or Aircraft Leasing environments.
