As the Learning & Development Manager at ABBYY, you are responsible for designing, delivering, and evolving a global learning strategy that builds capability, strengthens performance, and supports our culture of curiosity and continuous growth. You will lead ABBYY’s learning ecosystem, ensuring that development solutions are strategic, scalable, inclusive, and aligned with business priorities. You will act as a trusted learning consultant to leaders and teams, translating capability needs into practical programs, pathways, and experiences that improve organizational effectiveness. With strong instructional design expertise, data-driven decision-making, and a focus on learner engagement, you will shape high-quality learning solutions across modalities and create the conditions for people to thrive.

Job Responsibilities:


Learning Strategy & Capability Development

  • Translate organisational capability needs into a clear, scalable learning strategy aligned with ABBYY’s business goals.
  • Manage the end-to-end design of learning pathways, programs, and experiences that build leadership, professional, and technical capability.
  • Success looks like: measurable capability improvement, increased learning adoption, strong alignment with business priorities.
  • Instructional Design & Content Development
  • Design and develop high-quality learning content across multiple modalities (e-learning, virtual instructor-led, in-person, blended, toolkits, guides).
  • Leverage digital tools (Articulate 360, Camtasia, LMS) to create engaging and accessible content.
  • Success looks like: high learner satisfaction, strong engagement, and consistent instructional quality.

Learning Consultation & Needs Analysis

  • Conduct learning needs analyses to identify skill gaps, organisational requirements, and future capability needs.
  • Partner with leaders, SMEs, and Engagement Partners to design tailored learning solutions and interventions.
  • Success looks like: targeted solutions that solve real business problems and improve performance.

Facilitation & Delivery

  • Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and development programs for employees and people managers globally.
  • Coach leaders on how to embed learning in team practices and ways of working.
  • Success looks like: high-quality facilitation experiences and clear learner outcomes.

Learning Ecosystem & Platform Management

  • Own ABBYY’s Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring high-quality content, smooth operations, accurate reporting, and user engagement.
  • Lead the optimisation of LinkedIn Learning, including curation, communication, campaigns, and reporting.
  • Success looks like: increased platform engagement, improved user experience, and streamlined workflows.

Measurement, Evaluation & Insights

  • Use data to evaluate learning effectiveness, demonstrate learning transfer, and inform program improvements.
  • Produce concise reports and dashboards for leaders, highlighting impact and recommendations.
  • Success looks like: visible ROI, data-driven decision-making, and continuous improvement of learning programs.

Change & Organisational Development Support

  • Contribute learning strategies to support organisational change, transformation initiatives, and new ways of working.
  • Partner with Internal Communications and Engagement Partners to support behaviour change and adoption of new practices.
  • Success looks like: smoother change transitions and improved organisational readiness.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

  • Stay current with L&D trends, technologies, and methodologies to evolve ABBYY’s learning ecosystem.
  • Introduce new tools, approaches, and innovations that enhance learning quality and accessibility.
  • Success looks like: a modern, engaging, forward-thinking learning environment.

Job Requirements:



Qualifications

  • CIPD qualification in Learning & Development or related professional certification (or equivalent).
  • Coaching qualification (desirable).
  • Degree in HR, Education, Psychology, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience

  • 3+ years experience in Learning & Development, Talent, or a related development role within a global or fast-paced environment (SaaS or tech scale-up experience a plus).
  • Proven experience designing, delivering, and evaluating corporate learning solutions across multiple modalities (e-learning, virtual classroom, blended, self-directed).
  • Experience administering and optimising Learning Management Systems (LMS), including content management, reporting, and user experience.
  • Hands-on experience with learning tools such as Articulate 360, Camtasia, and other digital content-creation technologies (desirable).
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse learning data to show learning transfer, measure impact, and translate insights into actionable improvements.

Capabilities

  • Strong instructional design skills with an ability to simplify complex concepts into engaging, digestible content.
  • Skilled facilitator with excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong consulting mindset: able to conduct needs analysis, influence stakeholders, and recommend effective solutions.
  • Highly organised with strong project management skills, able to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outputs.
  • Curious, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement and innovation in learning.
  • Comfortable operating in a global, fast-paced, and evolving environment.
