About the roleWe are hiring a Lead Data Analyst to own, lead, and evolve our analytics function across product, marketing, and business performance. This role goes far beyond reporting — you will define how success is measured, enforce metric discipline, and drive decision-making with absolute clarity and accountability.
You will lead by example, set standards for analytical excellence, and push the team to operate at a high-performance, execution-first level. We are seeking an individual with exceptional leadership skills, a strong competitive mindset (a sports or performance background is a significant advantage), and the ability to approach product metrics with rigorous precision.
This role is critical to the company’s growth and requires someone who owns outcomes, not just insights.
Key ResponsibilitiesOwn the entire analytics vision and execution across product, marketing, and revenue.
Lead, mentor, and challenge Data Analysts — raising the bar on analytical thinking, ownership, and speed.
Define, standardize, and strictly enforce product and business KPIs across the organization.
Build, maintain, and evolve executive-level dashboards used for real decision-making, not vanity metrics.
Perform deep user behavior analysis, funnel analysis, retention analysis, and aha moment discovery.
Translate complex data into clear, decisive recommendations for Product, Growth, and Leadership.
Establish a culture of metric accountability — every feature, experiment, and campaign must be measurable.
Design and own robust SQL-based data models that scale with the business.
Proactively monitor metrics, detect anomalies, and act before issues become visible elsewhere.
Partner closely with Product Owners, Engineering, Marketing, and Leadership to align data with strategy.
Give and receive direct, actionable feedback.
Act as the single point of ownership for product and business metrics.
Push the team forward with discipline, clarity, and high standards.
Demand precision, consistency, and accountability in all reporting and analysis.
Be comfortable making unpopular calls when data demands it.
Operate with a performance mindset — speed, focus, and results matter.
Treat metrics like a control system, not a reporting layer.
Degree in an analytical field (Math, Data Science, Economics, or similar).
5+ years of experience in Data Analytics, including leading or mentoring analysts.
Strong background in Product Analytics and data-driven decision-making.
Advanced SQL skills with proven experience building scalable, reliable data models.
Hands-on experience with Mixpanel, GA4, Amplitude, or similar tools.
Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Looker, or equivalent.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to see both details and the big picture.
Excellent verbal and written communication — able to challenge stakeholders with confidence.
Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with a full ownership mindset.
Experience in subscription-based or data-driven businesses.
Background in sports, competitive environments, or high-performance teams.
Experience in Marketing Analytics (Google Ads, Facebook Ads, attribution).
Experience with Python or R for advanced analysis.
Experience with GCP / BigQuery / ClickHouse.
Familiarity with dbt, Airflow, or modern data stacks.
Experience with Git and code review processes.
