KONE partners with Northern Regional College in the Apprenticeship Program in Belfast. Northern Regional College is the main provider of further education across 4 of the 11 council areas, around 1000 apprentices train with Northern Regional College every year.

What you'll do as an Apprentice

  • Hands-on experience: Shadow and work with experienced Engineers on various sites.
  • Installation: Get involved in the general installation of lifts.
  • Customer interaction: Deal efficiently and effectively with customers.
  • Study: 1-2 days a week is spent at the College, studying for nationally-recognised qualifications in the same profession as the apprenticeship.

Practical information

  • Working Week: Monday - Thursday, 8:30am - 5:00pm. On Friday from 8:30am – 4:30pm.
  • Hours of work: 39 per week.
  • Duration: 24 months.
  • Start date: 1st of September 2025.
  • Be prepared to travel as work-based training will primarily be at our customer sites. Travel to and from the workplace takes place outside of 8:30 am to 5 pm, and 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
  • Salary: Starting at £8.58 per hour with annual increases subject to performance.

  • We offer apprenticeship in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Who can apply?

  • Age: You will be 16+ on the apprenticeship start date on the 1st of September 2025.
  • Education: 5 GCSEs (A-C or 4 to 9) including Maths, English, and Science (or equivalent).
