We are looking for someone to attend court cases on our behalf. We are a parcel delivery price comparison site, we re-sell for major couriers and offer delivery to both consumers and businesses. We defend cases where we refuse a loss or damage claim that is outside our terms, and we also also the initiator of claims against debtors, who have failed to pay a shipping charge.
This role would fit a law student who's keen to gain legal experience. or a lawyer has capacity to take on ad-hoc work.
You will know how to present and defend a case, and some knowledge of consumer rights Vs business rights.
There will be some driving involved, 1-2 hours each way (As we will only use you for cases in your area), and you will need to attend roughly 1 case per month.
Because this role is specifically to attend court cases in England, of course you need to be based in England!
We will do all of the paperwork and court documentation, and brief you before each case, so the only requirement is for you to represent us in court.
Please note in order for it to be viable for us to attend cases with an average claim size of c. £1,500, cost of defending cases is a key consideration for us.
