Position Overview
Reporting to the Lead Software Developer, the Junior Developer role is a hands-on development role contributing to Motia applications and services. Working with experienced developers, this role will contribute to developing, testing and maintaining real world software solutions with a focus on industry leading customer experience.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, development, testing, deployment and maintenance of mobile and web applications and backend solutions.
- Write clean, efficient, secure and maintainable code in line with functional and non-functional requirements.
- Debug and resolve technical issues and contribute to solving complex problems.
- Collaborate with in-house and external team members to deliver quality solutions.
- Participate in code reviews and apply feedback to improve code quality.
- Actively participate in scrum ceremonies and team meetings.
- Maintain documentation for code, processes and technical decisions.
- Contribute to improving software tooling, processes and standards.
- Stay up to date of emerging technologies and best practices
Requirements
- BSc in Computer Science or related subject.
- Solid understanding of programming languages C# and .NET.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS and front-end frameworks.
- Knowledge of databases and SQL.
- Exposure to Agile delivery methodologies
- Experience working with version control systems (e.g. Git) and deploy.
- Keen to learn and grow with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Methodical with ability to organise and prioritise.
- Great problem-solving skills.
- Good communicator.
