We're looking for someone who sees the bigger picture.

You understand digital marketing, but you also know that getting someone to click an ad is only one piece of growing a business. What happens when they land on the website? Why aren't they converting? Are we acquiring the right customers? Are they coming back? And most importantly, is any of this actually making the business more profitable?

These are the questions we want you to be asking.

At Shero Commerce, we help ecommerce brands grow by bringing together paid media, conversion optimization, email marketing, SEO, organic social, and the overall customer experience.

We're hiring a Junior Digital Marketing Strategist who understands how digital marketing channels work together and wants to develop into a well-rounded strategist. Someone who can connect the dots, think critically, use data to make recommendations, and understand how different channels contribute to business growth.

You'll work closely with senior strategists, account managers, and channel specialists to help turn client business goals into measurable marketing strategies and make sure those strategies translate into results.

What you'll do

Marketing Strategy & Business Growth

  • Help develop cross-channel marketing strategies that connect client business goals to measurable KPIs, channel priorities, and actionable initiatives.
  • Build and maintain 90-day marketing roadmaps across PPC, CRO, Email/SMS, SEO, and Organic Social, working with channel specialists to align priorities.
  • Analyze the customer journey, from acquisition and conversion to retention and repeat purchases, to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Research client businesses, competitors, audiences, and market trends to understand what influences performance.
  • Identify where marketing efforts are falling short and recommend what needs to change, whether that's the campaign, creative, offer, website, or retention strategy.
  • Help prioritize initiatives based on business impact rather than individual channel performance.

Cross-Channel Marketing & Paid Media

  • Apply a working understanding of paid media platforms like Meta Ads and Google Ads to evaluate performance, identify opportunities, and contribute to broader marketing strategies.
  • Collaborate with paid media specialists on campaign planning, audience strategy, budget recommendations, creative testing, and performance improvements.
  • Understand how channels like PPC, SEO, CRO, Email/SMS, and Organic Social contribute to acquisition, conversion, retention, and overall business growth.
  • Evaluate marketing performance using metrics like ROAS, CAC, MER, CVR, AOV, and LTV, with an understanding of how these relate to business profitability.
  • Identify opportunities across landing pages, product pages, conversion funnels, customer journeys, and lifecycle marketing.
  • Work with channel specialists to ensure individual tactics support the client's overall strategy and business goals.

Analytics, AI & Strategic Execution

  • Analyze performance across marketing platforms, GA4, Shopify, and reporting dashboards to identify trends, challenges, and growth opportunities.
  • Turn data into clear insights and recommendations that clients and internal teams can act on.
  • Use AI tools regularly to support research, data analysis, competitive insights, strategy development, reporting, and workflow efficiency.
  • Demonstrate good judgment when using AI, including validating outputs, questioning recommendations, and applying business context rather than relying on generated answers.
  • Stay curious about emerging AI capabilities and how they can improve marketing strategies, internal processes, and client results.
  • Support monthly performance reviews, quarterly business reviews, and client strategy presentations.
  • Work with project managers and channel teams to translate recommendations into clear priorities and deliverables.
  • Track strategic initiatives, flag delays, and help evaluate whether the work is producing the intended results.
  • Help determine what we should keep doing, what we should change, and what we should stop doing altogether.

What we're looking for

  • 2–3 years of digital marketing experience, ideally with exposure to multiple marketing channels and ecommerce businesses.
  • A strong understanding of cross-channel marketing strategy and how PPC, SEO, CRO, Email/SMS, and Organic Social work together to drive business growth.
  • Practical familiarity with Meta Ads and Google Ads, including campaign structure, targeting, budgets, optimization, and performance analysis. Hands-on campaign management experience is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort working with GA4, Shopify, reporting dashboards, and marketing performance data.
  • An understanding of ecommerce metrics like CAC, MER, ROAS, AOV, conversion rate, LTV, and retention.
  • Experience using AI tools in your daily work, with examples of how you've applied them to research, analysis, marketing strategy, reporting, or improving efficiency.
  • The ability to look beyond individual channel metrics and understand how marketing decisions affect overall business performance.
  • Experience contributing to marketing strategies, including setting KPIs, identifying opportunities, recommending channel priorities, and supporting actionable roadmaps.
  • Strong communication, research, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • A proactive approach to client work. You spot problems and opportunities, bring recommendations to the table, ask thoughtful questions, and follow up when something needs attention.
  • The ability to collaborate with channel specialists and project managers to keep marketing initiatives aligned with client goals.
  • Good judgment when prioritizing work based on potential business impact.
  • Comfort discussing performance insights and recommendations with internal teams and clients in clear, confident language.
  • Strong follow-through and accountability for assigned initiatives.

Bonus points: Experience with Shopify, Klaviyo, HubSpot, Looker Studio, StackAdapt, Google Tag Manager, ecommerce conversion optimization, or emerging advertising channels like TikTok, LinkedIn, programmatic, and AI-powered advertising.

You'll thrive here if...

You're naturally curious about how businesses grow. You understand what happens inside advertising platforms, but you don't automatically assume the solution to every marketing problem lives there. If acquisition costs are rising, you want to understand why. If traffic is increasing but sales aren't, you'll look at the website, the offer, and the customer journey. If customers aren't coming back, you'll want to know what we're doing to retain them. You're comfortable with data, enjoy solving problems, and can connect the dots between what the numbers are telling you and what the business actually needs.

You're proactive by nature. When you notice something in the data, you bring it forward with a recommendation instead of waiting for the next meeting. When a client hasn't responded, you follow up. When a project stalls, you find out why and help get it moving again. You already use AI to make your work more effective. You know how to ask better questions, research faster, analyze information, and improve your workflows without losing the critical thinking that makes a good strategist. You don't need to know everything. But you should be eager to learn, comfortable taking ownership, and willing to bring ideas to the table.

Why Shero?

At Shero Commerce, we don't believe in marketing for the sake of marketing. We care about understanding our clients' businesses, finding opportunities that will make a measurable difference, and bringing the right people and channels together to make it happen. You'll work alongside experienced strategists and specialists across paid media, CRO, email, SEO, creative, and ecommerce technology, gaining exposure to different industries, business models, and growth challenges. You'll have the opportunity to contribute to real client strategies, sharpen your analytical skills, explore emerging technologies, and develop into a strategist who can eventually own and lead client accounts. If you want to move beyond individual marketing channels and learn how to grow businesses, we'd love to meet you.

Benefits

Shero offers a competitive benefits package, including private medical insurance, pension, annual leave plus bank holidays, and opportunities for learning and development, within a supportive, inclusive, remote-first team culture. Full details will be provided separately during the hiring process.

How to apply

Send us your resume and tell us about two things:

We're interested in how you think, how you approach problems, and how you use the tools available to you, not just which platforms you've worked in.

What you need to know about the Belfast Tech Scene

If asked to name the birthplace of the RMS Titanic, you might not say Belfast. Similarly, if asked to name Europe's leading destination for foreign direct investment in new software development, Belfast might not come to mind. Yet, both are true. The city has emerged as a tech powerhouse, recently ranked among the best in the U.K. for tech careers — especially for software developers. It also leads the U.K. with the highest percentage of software development jobs advertised.
