About STATSports:

Since 2008, we’ve grown from humble beginnings into the global leader in GPS performance tracking and analysis, trusted by the world’s biggest clubs, leagues, and athletes. Our technology sits at the intersection of hardware, software, and sport, helping teams optimise performance, reduce injury risk, and unlock previously impossible insights.

As part of our HQ team, you will work with current champions and help mould future champions, playing a vital role in some of the greatest sporting moments in history. And you’ll have fun doing it!

Innovation has always driven us forward, and it’s our people who make that happen.

The opportunity:

We are looking for a Junior Business Development Executive to join our close-knit sales team based at our HQ. In this dynamic role, you will develop targeted sales strategies, attract new clients, and build relationships within specific territories.

Working collaboratively across teams, you will play a key role in expanding our Athlete Series product line. This role requires flexibility for 20–25% travel, including occasional evening and weekend visits to clubs, schools, and organisations to meet business needs and drive growth.

If you’re competitive, target-driven, passionate about sport, and love being close to the product, this role will suit you.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Source new sales opportunities and close sales to consistently hit and exceed targets.

  • Play a key role in generating leads, qualifying prospects, and managing the sales pipeline for products and services.

  • Travel (approx. 20–25%) to attend clubs, schools, and prospective clients, occasionally during evenings and weekends.

  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and customer operations teams to help develop and execute the Athlete Series sales drive.

  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with key decision-makers across sports teams and organisations.

What we’re looking for:
  • At least 1 year of experience in a target-driven direct selling environment, with a proven track record of sales success.

  • Hands-on experience dealing with clients directly.

  • A full, clean UK/ROI driver’s licence.

  • A strong passion for sport and an understanding of the landscape.

  • Computer literacy, including excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

  • The willingness and flexibility to work evenings and weekends when required.

Nice to have (but not essential):

  • Previous experience selling directly to sports teams, academies, or organisations.

  • Experience using CRM software (preferably Salesforce).

  • Fluency in additional languages.

What’s in it for you:
  • A key sales role expanding global access to world-leading sports performance technology

  • High visibility and direct influence on the expansion of our Athlete Series product line

  • Exposure to cross-functional teams spanning marketing, sales, and customer operations

  • Opportunities for growth and career progression in a fast-paced, global company

  • A team culture that values learning, ownership, and shared success

  • The chance to see your work directly impact athletes and sports teams at all levels

If you’re passionate about quality and want your work to have a real-world impact in sport, we’d love to hear from you.

Equal opportunity employer:

STATSports is an equal opportunity employer. If you feel you would be a great addition to the team and are excited by the prospect of forging an impactful career with us, we would love to hear from you. We would particularly welcome applications from women and underrepresented groups.

We believe that diverse teams have the greatest impact, so we really care about creating a diverse and inclusive environment. At STATSports, no one wins unless everyone wins, so we’re focused on creating a team where everyone feels they belong. We welcome people from all backgrounds, with different perspectives, ideas and experiences to work with us. What you need to know about the Belfast Tech Scene

If asked to name the birthplace of the RMS Titanic, you might not say Belfast. Similarly, if asked to name Europe's leading destination for foreign direct investment in new software development, Belfast might not come to mind. Yet, both are true. The city has emerged as a tech powerhouse, recently ranked among the best in the U.K. for tech careers — especially for software developers. It also leads the U.K. with the highest percentage of software development jobs advertised.
