Canon is entering a new phase in how we approach PR across EMEA, and we are seeking a PR Specialist to support this evolution for our Information Technology & Communications Group (ITCG).

In this role, you will become a key contact for PR activities across the region, working closely with local markets and agency partners to ensure Canon’s stories reach the right audiences. You will help strengthen collaboration across markets and support the development of modern, effective PR ways of working.

Responsibilities

What you’ll be doing

  • Build and manage relationships with journalists, media contacts and influencers across EMEA
  • Act as a contact point for ITCG media enquiries, ensuring timely and accurate responses
  • Develop press releases, media pitches and thought leadership content aligned with Canon’s tone of voice
  • Support PR activity for product launches and marketing campaigns across markets
  • Work with Corporate Communications on sensitive communications and reputation topics when required
  • Manage PR agencies and internal stakeholders to deliver impactful campaigns
  • Support PR activation at Canon and industry events and sponsorship activities
  • Align PR activity with digital and social media campaigns to maximise reach
  • Monitor media coverage and campaign performance, sharing insights across markets
  • Support local teams in adapting PR campaigns to regional needs and audiences
Qualifications

What we’re looking for

  • Experience working in PR or communications, either agency or in-house
  • Strong hands-on experience delivering PR campaigns and managing media relations
  • Excellent writing and editing skills for press releases and media materials
  • Comfortable working with agencies and stakeholders across multiple countries
  • Well organised, able to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Proactive mindset with the confidence to suggest improvements to ways of working
  • Interest in technology, innovation or imaging is helpful but not essential

Industry background is flexible, experience from agencies or different sectors is welcome. What matters most is solid PR delivery experience and the ability to build strong working relationships across markets.

What success looks like

In your first 6–12 months, you will have:

  • Strengthened collaboration with markets and agencies across EMEA
  • Helped modernise PR ways of working
  • Supported successful product and campaign PR activity
  • Built trusted relationships with stakeholders across the organisation

Salary for this role is: £38,000 - £44,000 per annum (dependent on experience), plus 10% bonus.
