About the role

We’re looking for an experienced IT Engineer with a strong technical support background who ensures excellent standards and customer experience are delivered.  We’re looking for someone who is driven and enjoys taking control of situations to help resolve technical issues.

This role will be based at our Glasgow city centre office, with travel to multiple customer sites across Central Scotland, supporting a variety of customer environments as required. The successful candidate must hold a full, valid UK driving licence. 

Communication with customers will take place over the phone and via email whilst utilising fault-finding programmes that assist you in diagnosing and fixing customer problems in person or remote. Customer service is key to success in the role – living our values are woven through everything we do to guarantee that our service delivery is second to none.


What you will be doing

  • Providing high-quality onsite technical support across multiple customer environments.
  • Taking ownership of incidents and service requests through to resolution.
  • Troubleshooting hardware, software, and networking issues.
  • Performing onsite break-fix work.
  • Installing and deploying hardware and software solutions.
  • Supporting server and network installations.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and records. 
  • Building strong customer relationships. 
  • Supporting continual improvement by identifying risks and opportunities for improvement and efficiency. 
  • Liasing with internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve IT issues.
  • Providing cover for local engineers and supporting field-based requests that require travel to customer sites.

You will suit the role if you have

  • A full and valid UK driving licence.
  • Proven experience in IT support or a similar technical role.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and customer service skills.
  • Confident decision-maker with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Adaptable and able to take ownership of issues through to resolution.
  • Experience with device builds, endpoint management, and application deployment (including Microsoft Intune).
  • Knowledge of server, networking, and telephony environments, including routers, firewalls, and Wi-Fi.
  • Experience supporting and administering Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Entra ID, user management, licensing, security, and mailbox configuration.

Salary

£26,227.50 - £32,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Location and Working Arrangements

You will be based at Aspire's Glasgow city centre office, with travel throughout Central Scotland and when required, further afield. 

Hours of Work

Full time (37.5 hours per week), Monday to Friday
