There is never a dull moment on this strategic effort, a cornerstone for the nation's security. The LGM-35A Sentinel Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Program will completely replace the aging Minuteman III (MMIII) ICBM, an undertaking not performed in over 50 years. This program is considered a "mega-project" and one of the most complex in the history of the Department of War. The new ICBM weapon system acquisition effort brings with it the newest digital engineering tools and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices to meet existing warfighter requirements, while having the adaptability and flexibility to affordably address changing technology and threat environments through 2075. As part of the U.S. Air Force's Integration Support Contract (ISC), BAE Systems provides advisory and assistance services in the areas of engineering, logistics, management, scientific analysis, and other subject matter expertise to augment and optimize management of the Sentinel ICBM Prime Contractor.

The Role
In this role, you will serve as an integral part of the LGM-35A Sentinel Reentry System and Vehicle Section (RS/RV) within the Flight Systems Branch. The Flight Systems Branch plays a critical role within the Sentinel program, focusing on evaluating the design of solid rocket motors, guidance, navigation and control equipment, post-boost liquid propulsion systems, reentry vehicles, and support equipment. BAE Systems is seeking a dynamic and exceptional Aerospace Engineer with Mechanical experience to support the RS/RV team. As a Principle Aerospace Engineer within this team, you will play a crucial role in providing guidance and oversight throughout the lifecycle of the acquisition process, from planning, development, testing, implementation, delivery, and sustainment. The RS/RV Section collaborates closely with the customer and prime contractor to ensure meticulous alignment with project requirements throughout the design and development phases. The ideal candidate will forge strong partnerships with both our customers and our dedicated team of engineers and project managers. With this team, you will pioneer innovation, conduct risk assessments, assess technical suitability, thoroughly evaluate schedule impacts, and orchestrate activities towards achieving success of the RS/RV Systems.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $136000 - $201960
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

- Review RV design, production and testing including flight testing.
- Present data and reports to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the customer and internal teams.
- Participate in the development of complex systems integration, requirement flow, requirement verification, and interface definition.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Required Education, Experience, & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in STEM Field or equivalent.
- The ability to achieve and maintain a US DoW Top Secret security clearance.
- Must be eligible for Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.
- 12 years of experience in an engineering role (10 years with master's degree), with direct exposure to reentry aerodynamics modeling.
- Experience with Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis including development and assessment.
- Familiarity with RV design, production and testing including flight testing.
- Experience in developing or validating Computational Fluid Dynamics models.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, evaluate alternatives and implement solutions.
- Adaptability and resilience in managing project complexities and navigating challenges that arise during execution.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
- Possess a willingness to learn while also sharing your current knowledge/skills.

- Experience with engineering/MBSE modeling tools, e.g., DOORS, SysML, MATLAB, Cameo, Jira.
- ICBM Weapon System experience.
- Experience with DoW acquisition programs.
