Inventory Specialist
Leeds Hybrid - 3 days per week in the office
What you'll do:
The Inventory Specialist is a crucial member of the operations team and is responsible for efficiently managing stock levels, organizing storage spaces, and monitoring inventory movements within a company or organization. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments to ensure smooth stock operations.
- Manage inventory levels, including tracking movement, reporting non-compliance, and conducting regular stock audits.
- Identify and manage slow-moving, obsolete, or damaged stock, ensuring appropriate action and coding is applied.
- Oversee receiving and dispatch processes, ensuring deliveries match purchase orders and resolving receipt queries.
- Align inventory data between 3PL WMS, Oracle systems, and DOMO reports, ensuring KPIs are met.
- Act as the point of contact for quality issues, ensuring inventory holds are communicated and resolved efficiently.
- Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate stock movements and address inventory challenges.
- Generate clear, regular inventory reports to highlight levels, movement trends, and discrepancies.
- Identify and implement process improvements for greater inventory accuracy and efficiency.
What You'll Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in inventory management, supply chain, or logistics is a plus.
- Proven experience in stock control, inventory management, or related fields.
- Proficiency in inventory management software, WMS, Oracle/SAP, and MS Office applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
