About FINN

FINN is a fintech company building simple and transparent products that improve financial well-being for underbanked employees. Our core offering gives people access to wages they have already earned, alongside tools to help them manage money better, build savings, access insurance, earn additional income, and use fairer financial services.

Founded in 2022, FINN is the largest player in the early wage access space in Southeast Asia and is expanding rapidly into new markets globally. We are looking for ambitious builders who take ownership, move fast, and want to shape products that create meaningful impact in people’s lives.

The Opportunity

We are preparing to launch in the UK and are looking for someone on the ground to help us get it right from day one. This is not a passive advisory role. For the first 2–3 months you will commit 10–20 hours per week to organise everything locally for launch: talking to our first users, keeping us close to the market, working with local vendors and helping us solve problems as they come up.

You will have the autonomy of a Country Manager with the flexibility of a consultancy. We want someone business- and product-minded who has the aptitude to take on long-term ownership of the UK market as our full-time Country Manager.

What You'll Do
  • Customer support and user contact: Run our initial customer support and contact users directly, so we understand what is working, what is confusing and why.
  • Market and competitor watch: Keep us up to date on competitors and on what is changing in the UK earned wage access and consumer credit market.
  • Vendor liaison: Be our local point of contact with banking, payments and other vendors, especially when time zones, local norms or established relationships make it hard for us to do so.
  • Payments operations: Help manage operational issues such as double payments and repayment queries, and work with our teams to fix the root cause.
  • Problem solving with our teams: Help us diagnose issues such as salary flagging (identifying a user’s salary in their bank transactions) when we see problems, and turn them into clear workstreams for our engineering, product and risk teams.
  • Fraud: Use your market knowledge to help us spot fraud patterns and suspicious behaviour early.
  • End-to-end ownership: Together with the VP of Expansion, help drive all aspects of the business, from acquisition to collections performance, deep-diving the most important topic of the week so the business grows profitably and sustainably.
Desired Background & Expertise
  • UK fintech knowledge: A track record in UK consumer credit, earned wage access, salary-linked lending or digital banking. You understand local consumer behavior and the regulatory landscape, including FCA rules, the Consumer Duty, credit broking permissions and UK GDPR.
  • Payments and banking literacy: Hands-on experience with how money moves in the UK, such as Faster Payments, Direct Debit and Bacs, Open Banking, variable recurring payments (VRP), e-money accounts and banking partners.
  • Business and product mindset: You can spot a problem in the data or in a customer conversation and turn it into a clear, prioritized fix.
  • Builder DNA: Experience building a product or market from the ground up, as a founder, product lead or GM within a high-growth startup.
  • The network: Existing connections across UK fintechs, banks and payment providers to help unblock things quickly.
  • Regulated environment experience: Comfortable operating inside an FCA-regulated structure, including working under an Appointed Representative arrangement and the compliance obligations that come with it.
  • Professional versatility: Whether you have 10 years of experience or 40, you are someone who enjoys doing as much as leading.
Role Details
  • Commitment: 10–20 hours per week (flexible) for an initial 2–3 months, with a path to the full-time Country Manager role.
  • Location: Remote (must be based in the UK).
  • Compensation: Competitive hourly or monthly retainer, commensurate with experience.

What you need to know about the Belfast Tech Scene

If asked to name the birthplace of the RMS Titanic, you might not say Belfast. Similarly, if asked to name Europe's leading destination for foreign direct investment in new software development, Belfast might not come to mind. Yet, both are true. The city has emerged as a tech powerhouse, recently ranked among the best in the U.K. for tech careers — especially for software developers. It also leads the U.K. with the highest percentage of software development jobs advertised.
