About the Solutions Engineer role
The Implementation Specialist is a central expert role within Vaayu, working primarily at the intersection of technology and customer success teams, while providing occasional support for the sales team as well.
The Implementation Specialist is an expert in tech and data matters in our quickly growing impact driven-startup. The candidate will assist customers during the implementation process of Vaayu’s environmental impact platform, helping the clients prepare complex primary data for environmental impact calculations. The Implementation Specialist also helps produce customer-facing documentation and other materials that are helpful to current and prospective retail customers.
In this role, you will work closely with potential and existing customers to help them better understand Vaayu's technology, their own data, and how they can better reach their environmental goals. You will play a key role in standardizing documentation, filling out request for proposal (RFP) documents, and in successful customer implementations. Ultimately, you will be contributing to supply chain transparency, improved environmental impact calculations and carbon reductions.
A successful candidate is highly collaborative as they work in an intersection of multiple departments, have excellent communication skills as they will both present to and prepare materials for potential and existing customers, and enjoy working on solutions to complex problems, as they will join us to help brands tackle one of the most important challenges of our lifetime.
This is a fully remote role based in Europe. The candidate will report to the Technology and the Customer Success teams.
Key Responsibilities- Provide hands-on support to the customer success team during customer onboarding and implementation phases
- Help current and prospective customers understand and prepare their complex internal data for environmental impact calculations
- Deliver client-specific product demonstrations and answers to technology and data related questions
- Support the sales team in answering RFPs, IT questionnaires, and security documentation
- Record customers’ technical requirements and relay feedback back to the product team for improved product development
- Assist in creating informative internal and external documentation and presentations, to help educate relevant stakeholders about tech and data
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience in a technical role, such as System or Infrastructure Administrator, Systems Engineer, or a similar role that required technical skills and understanding
- Experience from customer-facing tasks in a B2B context, such as customer success, sales engineer or tech support tasks, demonstrating comfortability in front of clients
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. We are open to learning about expertise gathered with other methods than degrees as well
Preferred Skills
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken. Additional major European languages are considered a plus
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey technical information effectively, both in written and spoken form
- Ability to think strategically, assisting customers in meeting their goals
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to work with multiple client projects simultaneously
- Passion for sustainability and a desire to contribute to environmental impact
Nice to have
- Experience working as a Solutions Engineer or a similar role in a B2B software business
- Experience working within the environmental sustainability space in one way or another, including any relevant courses
- Experience from a high-growth SaaS company or a funded startup
- Exposure to AI technologies and their application in solving business problems
