Our Responsible AI team sits within the practice, focusing on areas of ethics, trust, human-centric, governance, and security. It ensures that the AI solutions we design, develop and deploy are beneficial to society and produces thought leadership in this area.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES IN THE BUSINESS:
As an AI Trust Consultant at Kainos, you’ll be responsible for the successful delivery of Responsible AI within the business and ensuring that our AI solutions meet the needs of our customers and their users. You will articulate problems and processes in ways understood by all stakeholders – both business and technical, and facilitate the discovery, design, and development of Responsible AI solutions that impact users worldwide.
Your role will involve working directly on customer projects and advising customers about Responsible AI, with a focus ethics, trust, human-centred, governance, and security. In this capacity, you will work alongside various teams, and act as a subject matter expert, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and excellence.
You will be part of the Responsible AI team and work alongside colleagues to develop and implement our approach.
MINIMUM (ESSENTIAL) REQUIREMENTS:
- Knowledge of human-centred design principles for AI systems and demonstrated awareness of how to integrate these with Responsible AI practices, such as impact assessments, balancing values, stakeholder engagement, trust-building, human-in-the-loop, redress or similar challenges that incorporate socio-technical impacts
- Demonstrable experience operationalising human-centred practices to build trust, consider cultural sensitivities, and tackle behavioural or emotional barriers to change at an individual and organisational level
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate with a variety of stakeholders in a variety of forms
- Ability to work independently and proactively and manage competing priorities in a dynamic setting, while thinking critically, taking in new perspectives, and learning new concepts
- Collaborative and growth mindset, along with demonstrable experience of contributing a positive impact to team ethos.
DESIRABLE:
- Domain experience in Public Sector
- Knowledge of Responsible AI practices, trends, and principles such as trust, assurance, and ethics and/or experience working in Responsible AI on the customer-delivery side
- Experience in conducting research or consultations on perception, comfort and how mentality towards fairness and ethics align or diverge from AI systems
- Experience creating accelerators, frameworks, decision trees or other tools to scale AI adoption
- Experience contributing to writing proposals, working on bids, or other sales activity where you have helped shape offerings and develop opportunities
- Experience creating new business offerings and strategies in Responsible AI
