Role Purpose
As part of the Unilever HRIT team, the Workday HCM Consultant will be responsible for supporting and enhancing the Workday Core HCM and core compensation landscape. This role focuses on maintaining data integrity, optimizing core HR processes, and ensuring seamless integration across HR systems to enable efficient global HR operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage and enhance Workday Core HCM modules (Worker Data, Job, Position Management, Organizations, etc.)
• Partner with HR, HR Operations, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable system solutions
• Maintain and optimize core HR business processes (Hire, Job Change, Termination, Transfers, etc.)
• Ensure data accuracy, governance, and compliance within Workday
• Support and manage Workday security including role assignments and access controls
• Collaborate with integration teams on HCM-related integrations across systems (payroll, benefits, external vendors)
• Support release management activities, including SIT, UAT, and production deployments
• Troubleshoot system issues, manage incidents, and ensure timely resolution
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for HR processes and system usability
• Build and maintain Workday reports and dashboards for HR stakeholders
• Maintain functional and technical documentation
• Own end to end solutioning for HCM workday
• Handson experience on all the areas for HCM which include core compensation
• 3 to 4 years of experience in end to end implementations.
Required Skills & Experience
• 6-10 years of experience in HR systems with strong expertise in Workday Core HCM
• Hands-on experience in Workday configuration:
o Business Processes
o Organization structures
o Job & position management
o Security fundamentals
o Core compensation
• Strong understanding of end-to-end HR lifecycle processes
• Experience working with Workday integration tools (EIB, Core Connectors, APIs – good understanding)
• Experience in data management and reporting within Workday
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability to work in a global, cross-functional environment
• Ability to contribute towards enhancing and adapting new solutions
• Strong SME knowledge on end to end HCM and compensation workday configuration
Preferred Qualifications
• Workday certification in HCM / Core Compensation
• Experience in large-scale global HR transformations
• Familiarity with Agile delivery model
• Exposure to Workday modules such as TA, Performance, Absence, integrations etc
• Knowledge of data governance and compliance frameworks
