The Role:
Intel 471 is looking for an HR Intern to join our world-class team, reporting to the HR Project Manager. The role is located in the UK on a remote basis, and can be either full or part time, with a minimum of 20 hours per week. As the role involves close collaboration with US-based colleagues, the ideal candidate must be available to work during the afternoon. This position will be an initial 6 month fixed term contract, with the possibility for extension for the right candidate.
We are looking for an HR Intern to help support our forward thinking HR team, focusing on the employee experience we want to create and enabling our people to do their best work. This role will be centered on supporting the HR team on various functions to gain in-depth knowledge of day-to-day activities, to enhance their professional growth.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Documenting processes and identifying opportunities to simplify and improve processes to drive better results.
- Working with the HR team to ensure our HRIS, BambooHR, and related trackers are accurate including data cleansing, drafting reports and checking data.
- Support employee engagement efforts by collating content for various communication channels.
- Assist on HR projects within the team on all elements of the employee lifecycle.
- Collating data and insights for our quarterly HR dashboard.
- Actively supporting the Culture Club by preparing agenda and taking meeting minutes.
- Serve as the point of contact for interns during their internships including onboarding inductions.
- Collating content and reporting on engagement in our learning and development platform.
- Working with third party providers to process and complete background checks and flag to appropriate HRBP if there are any issues.
- Serving as point of contact for business cards inquiries and ordering.
- Responding to Glassdoor reviews and flagging if needed.
- Supporting regular processes including recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, benefits and payroll.
- Supporting gift ordering for all employee life events.
- Responsible for new joiner swag distribution and supporting one-off swag events.
- Supporting the HR team with ad hoc tasks and providing feedback when needed.
Education, Experience & Qualifications:
- Completed or working towards a recognised HR qualification (or wishing to continue studying).
- Strong interest in progressive HR theory and practical application within a forward-thinking environment.
- Critical thinking and analytical skills are essential.
- Demonstrable experience of working in HR together with an understanding of all the elements of the employee lifecycle, with a focus on people experience and a non-bureaucratic approach.
- Hands-on experience working with a HRIS, such as BambooHR.
- Intermediate knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets.
- Flexibility to work with our globally dispersed HR team, including regular afternoon availability to ensure seamless collaboration with our US-based colleagues.

The role will report to our HR Project Manager but will be expected to interact and work closely with other areas of the company as needed. The role is available anywhere in the UK and may involve occasional travel within the UK, United States, Europe and Asia. The role requires regular contact with our international team located in the United States, South America, Western and Eastern Europe, and Asia so a comfort working with diverse professional and cultural backgrounds is required.
