Mō te tūranga | About the Role
We are seeking a Head of Investment Products to lead the strategic, commercial and people direction for BT Funds Management’s (BTNZ) Product Management function. BTNZ is Westpac New Zealand’s Investments business (responsible for KiwiSaver, mutual and wholesale funds).
This is a key leadership role where you will shape the future of BTNZ’s investment proposition, driving products and experiences that deliver strong customer outcomes, meet regulatory and risk expectations, and support sustainable business performance. This is a rare opportunity to accelerate growth at BTNZ through clear strategic direction, disciplined execution, and inspirational leadership.
The role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of wealth products and a proven track record of developing and executing clear, customer‑led product strategies.
Nā tāu rourou | What will you bring?
Senior Product Management experience, particularly in Wealth Products.
Significant and relevant experience in financial services or business is essential.
Meaningful and relevant banking experience in a delivery or product role.
Experience in leading and delivering strategy and business outcomes in a large, complex organisation.
Experience in people leadership with an ability to demonstrate growth in individual and team capability.
Experience in a large, customer service-based organisation in a highly competitive market.
Proven innovation management skills, with the ability to bring creative ideas of others to life (and to market).
Understands core levers of the business with an ability to problem solve and provide direction without going into technical detail.
Tertiary qualified in a relevant discipline.
Strong financial acumen and experience managing a P&L.
