This role

As our Director of Channel & Partnerships, you will report to the Global Head of Partnerships and be instrumental in shaping Employment Hero's partner-led growth in the UK, directly contributing to our growth ambitions & BHAG.

We’re looking for a transformational leader who has scaled a partnerships or channel function from early growth (1–10) through significant expansion (20x ARR, partner base, or market share). This is a hands-on leadership role in a scaleup: you’ll set the strategy, build the organisation to deliver it, and roll up your sleeves to execute at pace.

Your key focus areas will be:

  • Delivering 30–50% of UK revenue through partner-sourced ARR.
  • Scaling Bureau and Referral Partner programs in line with aggressive growth targets.
  • Launching and expanding strategic alliances with C-level engagement.
  • Doubling average partner productivity year-on-year.
  • Positioning the UK as a model market for global partner innovation.

This will include:

  • Leading and scaling the Channel Partnerships function across UK and wider markets within Referral, Certified, and Bureau partner models.
  • Designing and implementing scalable acquisition, onboarding, and enablement frameworks for partners.
  • Owning and growing high-value strategic partnerships that generate significant pipeline and ARR.
  • Managing and coaching senior leaders across channel, partnerships, and SDR functions.
  • Building the organisational structure, processes, and data-driven performance systems to sustain rapid scale.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Ops to align GTM strategies.
  • Representing UK partnership priorities in global planning forums and influencing global strategy.

Who you are:

To thrive at Employment Hero, you’ll need to embody The EH Way - operating with focus, agility, and an obsession with impact. For this role, you’ll also bring:

  • 15+ years in Partnerships, Channel Sales, or Business Development, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (Director/VP) in SaaS or high-growth tech.
  • Proven track record of scaling a partnerships or channel function from early stage (1–10) to significant scale (20x+ growth).
  • Experienced in designing and executing multi-year channel strategies delivering substantial revenue impact (30–50%+ contribution).
  • Strong organisational design skills: building high-performing teams, embedding scalable partner enablement, and implementing performance metrics.
  • Skilled in negotiating and managing complex, multi-year strategic alliances with C-level executives.
  • Adept at balancing strategy with hands-on execution in a fast-paced, resource-lean scaleup environment.
  • Deep understanding of referral, reseller, and service-led partner models in the UK & EU market.

What we can offer
At Employment Hero, we don’t just talk about a better way to work - we live it. Joining Employment Hero means:

  • You will work remotely, with the flexibility to own your time and impact
  • You will access cutting-edge tools to amplify your work, knowledge and outputs
  • You’ll surround yourself with ambitious, outcome-driven colleagues who challenge you to do the best work of your life
  • You’ll own ESOP (employee share options) in one of the world’s fastest-growing tech companies
  • You’ll also have access to a wide range of benefits that includes - a very generous parental leave policy, subsidised egg freezing (so you can make the choice that’s right for you, on your terms), a WFH office expense budget, and outstanding learning & development opportunities

What you need to know about the Belfast Tech Scene

If asked to name the birthplace of the RMS Titanic, you might not say Belfast. Similarly, if asked to name Europe's leading destination for foreign direct investment in new software development, Belfast might not come to mind. Yet, both are true. The city has emerged as a tech powerhouse, recently ranked among the best in the U.K. for tech careers — especially for software developers. It also leads the U.K. with the highest percentage of software development jobs advertised.
