More about our mission and what we offer.

Job Description

This is a great opportunity to build a 0-1 product and scale it massively. You would be building products to help small businesses get paid internationally. Today, we process over £5B per month for small businesses getting paid through bank transfers.

We’re now looking to also enable our customers to get paid by cards and local payment methods for Subscriptions, E-Commerce Checkouts etc. This would be your opportunity to create a truly differentiated product focused on getting paid internationally unlike the domestic first experience of most competitors.

You would be responsible for the product strategy & execution, economics i.e. risk and go-to-market with support from relevant teams within Wise.

You will directly lead two teams/PMs and be responsible for their roadmap and execution

Qualifications

  • You’ve built products for Small businesses.

  • You’ve managed products at scale: Series B/£100M+ in volume/100K+ paying users.

  • You’ve taken a product to market: worked with marketing on new product launch.

  • You’ve leadership experience, led 2 or more PMs.

  • Excellent product management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Customer-focus – You’ve worked on a product with thousands or even millions of customers, ran surveys or research and interviewed people who used your product. You’re able to define the customer impact of product investments you make.

  • You’re data-driven – You are able to dive into data to identify opportunities and then measure your impact. You prioritise the value you can add to customers, and can get the entire company behind you by telling stories with data.

  • You have a good technical understanding - help your team prioritise technological investments, tech debt reduction, bugs and new features.

  • Communicating clearly and logically – You are able to effectively frame problems to influence across the team. You are comfortable communicating with internal and external partners on challenging issues, whether in written format or at sprint planning with the team.

  • You’re not afraid of being a true lead, helping your team with hiring, learning skills you don’t know today to unblock things everywhere needed. You don’t stick to a “by the book” product manager role definition. You get it done.

What you need to know about the Belfast Tech Scene

If asked to name the birthplace of the RMS Titanic, you might not say Belfast. Similarly, if asked to name Europe's leading destination for foreign direct investment in new software development, Belfast might not come to mind. Yet, both are true. The city has emerged as a tech powerhouse, recently ranked among the best in the U.K. for tech careers — especially for software developers. It also leads the U.K. with the highest percentage of software development jobs advertised.
