JOB PROFILE DESCRIPTION 

 

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES IN THE BUSINESS: 

 

Workday Employee Document Management (EDM):   

  

This team is our newest addition to the Product suite; EDM is essentially a new Workday model, albeit built by Kainos. It allows Workday customers to effortlessly create, manage, store, and access all employee documents, such as contracts, offer letters, policies, and compensation statements—all within Workday. Join us in optimizing HR operations and enriching the employee experience. 

 

In your role, you will be: 

As a Graduate Workday EDM Consultant, you’ll work to implement and configure our exciting Employee Document Management application for Workday for our global customer base. You will work closely with team members, as well working independently and confidently to manage your own workload. You’ll be able to understand customer requirements, designing and delivering solutions that are aligned to their needs. 

 

Upon completion of the Early Careers Programme, you will have gained knowledge and skills to help transform the organization and set you on the path to becoming the next generation of leaders at Kainos. Fun fact - 11 of our 17 leadership team members have graduated from our Early Careers Programme! 

 

You must have a keen interest in developing a career in consulting. Within Workday at Kainos, the expectation is for our staff to be adaptable and be able to rotate within various Workday teams depending on business needs. 

 

 

MINIMUM (ESSENTIAL) REQUIREMENTS:  

  • Currently studying towards, or already obtained, at least a Level 6 bachelor's degree in a relevant degree 

  • Good customer focus, with experience in a customer-facing environment. Able to understand customer needs and build relationships. Able to understand when to escalate issues. 

  • Clear and effective communicator, able to communicate with customers and colleagues with credibility and empathy, including in a remote working situation. 

  • We all work in teams here in Kainos – a proven ability of strong team skills, including taking direction from others, is crucial.  

  • Good commercial awareness and sound understanding of project and business dynamics. 

  • Consulting skills e.g., presenting, participating in workshops, explaining functionality or solutions to customers. 

  • Able to apply all relevant standards and procedures to your own work, maintaining high quality, accuracy and attention to detail. 

  • Aware of the importance of confidentiality and non-disclosure policies and/or agreements and ensures security of information at all times. 

  • Familiarity with, exposure to, or a demonstrated willingness to learn generative technologies (such as Generative AI tools) to drive innovation, streamline processes, or deliver impactful results within the role.

Working arrangements: This role is hybrid. Upon joining, you will be expected to work in your contracted office for 1 day per week.  

 

Travel expectations: At Kainos, we work with a diverse range of clients and some of our projects require travel. If travel were required, we will endeavour to keep this to a minimum and ensure sufficient notice is provided.

Workday Certification: All graduates will participate in a structured training programme, which includes Workday Certification where relevant to your role. This training typically spans 2 to 4 full weeks, and attendance is mandatory for all training days. Successfully passing your certification is a requirement of the role, and you’ll receive full training and support from Kainos throughout the process.
