TGE is a leading force in the transport and logistics sector, known for delivering innovative and reliable solutions across Australia. We're entering an exciting growth phase and are seeking a dynamic General Manager – Palletised Express to take full ownership of this high potential division.

As GM, you'll lead the strategy, operations, and performance of our national Palletised Express network — driving results, developing teams, and shaping the next stage of growth for a key pillar of our business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of the Palletised Express division, including linehaul, depot operations, customer experience, and commercial performance.

  • Develop and execute strategic initiatives to drive growth, efficiency, and profitability.

  • Oversee P&L management, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.

  • Champion a culture of safety, service excellence, and continuous improvement.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including Sales, IT, HR, and Network Planning.

  • Build and lead a high-performing team with a focus on development, accountability, and results.

  • Ensure full compliance with national transport regulations and company policies

About You

  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role within freight, transport, or logistics — ideally with palletised freight or express transport exposure.

  • Strong understanding of national transport networks, cost structures, and operational levers.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex operations at scale.

  • Commercial acumen with a track record of driving revenue growth and improving margins.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Passionate about delivering outstanding customer service and operational excellence.
