About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Full Stack Engineer to join our dynamic and fast-paced team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on designing and developing robust backend systems while maintaining a keen eye for user experience on the front end. The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in Node.js and TypeScript, with bonus points for knowledge of containers, AWS, EKS, and Kubernetes. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-performance applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Application Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using Node.js and TypeScript.
- API Development: Build, maintain, and document RESTful or GraphQL APIs to support front-end and external integrations.
- Frontend Collaboration: Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure seamless integration and performance.
- Infrastructure Management: Leverage container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) to deploy, scale, and manage applications.
- Cloud Operations: Design, deploy, and maintain cloud-based solutions, preferably in AWS environments using services like EKS.
- Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
- Problem Solving: Debug and resolve production issues, ensuring system reliability and uptime.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with emerging technologies and incorporate them into existing solutions where relevant.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Technical Proficiency:
- Strong experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
- Solid understanding of backend development, including database integration and asynchronous programming.
- Experience with front-end technologies (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue.js) is a plus.
Cloud and DevOps Expertise:
- Familiarity with container technologies such as Docker.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services, particularly EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service).
- Understanding of Kubernetes for orchestration and scaling of containerised applications.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Ability to adapt to new technologies and contribute innovative solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with microservices architecture and serverless computing.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, or GitHub Actions.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
- Strong understanding of database technologies (SQL and NoSQL databases).
