THE POSITION
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Full-Stack Data Solutions Architect to lead the design, development, and implementation of comprehensive data solutions. This role demands a unique blend of technical expertise, architectural vision, and communication skills to bridge the gap between business needs and technological solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of data engineering principles, software development methodologies, and cloud technologies, along with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable plans for both technical and non-technical audiences.
This is a hybrid role based out of our London office.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Solution Architecture: Design and implement end-to-end data solutions encompassing data acquisition, processing, storage, and visualization.
- Data Engineering: Develop and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL processes to collect, transform, and load data from various sources.
- Cloud Technologies: Leverage cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) to build scalable and cost-effective data solutions.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders, product managers, and engineering teams to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and ensure solutions align with business objectives.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and data analysts.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for designed and implemented solutions.
THE CANDIDATE
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, data engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering, software development, and solution architecture
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or similar languages
- Expertise in SQL and relational databases
- Proficiency in data warehousing and ETL tools
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Knowledge of big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark)
- Experience in marketing cloud
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Bonus points: Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI); familiarity with NoSQL databases; knowledge of machine learning algorithms and techniques; strong knowledge of English required
SALARY RANGE
The salary range for this role is £45,000-£50,000.
