Job Description & Summary
We are seeking an experienced Finance Transformation Senior Consultant/Assistant Manager to be part of our Consulting practice. The role offers a chance to contribute to and support a variety of client engagements, helping drive project team success within the finance transformation, project management and change and innovation space. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in Finance Transformation, Operational Excellence and Finance Technology Implementation as we continue to drive impactful change across this key sectors.
You will be self-motivated, capable of working off your own initiative and can lead with the delivery of Programme/Project milestones. You will be required to operate as a key member of our team, playing a lead role in the delivery of business focused solutions to a wide range of Financial and Non-Financial clients, as well supporting the strategic development of the wider Consulting business.

Roles & Responsibilities
Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team to successfully deliver and manage projects across a range of key areas, including:
Project Management Delivery
Supporting the delivery of complex projects and programmes for key clients, ensuring high-quality outputs and successfully meeting tight deadlines.
Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and an ability to work to strict deadlines.
Supporting projects across all stages of the project life cycle.
Working with cross-functional teams spanning multiple business units and functions.
Devising comprehensive project plans, defining roles and responsibilities and creating clear communications strategies.
Identifying and implementing innovative process improvements and solutions.
Building client relationships and interacting proactively with key stakeholders to gather information, resolve issues, and provide analysis to inform client deliverables; and
Apply learnings from ongoing/prior projects and prior career experience to provide innovative and holistic solutions to clients.
Business Development
Offering expert advice on financial processes, systems, technologies, financial analysis and resulting operational improvements.
Acting as a key liaison between multi-faceted project teams to ensure seamless communication and alignment.
Supporting the facilitation of workshops to define project scopes and business requirements, documenting and sharing outcomes with relevant stakeholders.
Engaging stakeholders across various disciplines to drive project momentum and success.
Supporting and driving business development initiatives, including the preparation of proposals and tenders for new client opportunities.
Skills and Experience
Education and Certifications
A third level degree, with a strong academic record.
It is highly desirable to have or be working towards or have a recognised accounting qualification e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA, QFA, etc
Minimum of 2- 3 years of relevant experience.
Skills and Competencies
Experience working on projects that deliver business change in one or more of the following areas would be preferred:
Finance process improvement and automation in a finance setting (e.g., Order to Cash; Procure to Pay; Record to Report; Budgeting and Planning)
Shared Services and Outsourcing programmes
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementations
Finance systems such as Oracle, SAP, MS
Programme/ project management for large scale business and finance transformations
Finance Reporting including Value & Performance Management.
Strong financial management experience for example, financial analysis, processes, procedures, people, systems and structures.
Strong analytical and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to professional and client service excellence and developing effective working relationships.
Strong multi-tasking abilities and the ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Experience in leading business development opportunities as well as crafting and responding to client proposals would be favourable.
Expertise in C-Suite / Senior Management engagement and communication.
An ability to balance big-picture thinking with acute attention to detail.
A natural curiosity to explore new business opportunities.
A creative, problem-solving mindset and initiative-driven approach.

Flexible working environment:
At Grant Thornton we promote a flexible working environment and are currently support a hybrid working model. We also offer employees the opportunity to avail of a compressed working week the Friday before each Bank Holiday and every week from June – August inclusive. This allows employees the opportunity to finish at 3pm on a Friday, subject to client approval.
