We’re hiring: Finance Manager
Location: Lisburn, Northern Ireland
Vanden Recycling is looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join our team in Lisburn.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the business, lead the month-end close process and ensure the delivery of accurate, timely and meaningful financial reporting.
This is a broad role combining financial control, team support, business partnering and continuous improvement. You will work closely with colleagues across Finance, Commercial, Operations and senior leadership to strengthen financial governance and support informed decision-making.
Key responsibilities include:
• Leading and coordinating the monthly financial close process
• Preparing and reviewing management accounts and supporting schedules
• Reviewing profit and loss accounts and investigating material variances
• Maintaining balance sheet reconciliations, fixed asset registers and loan accounts
• Managing accruals, prepayments, depreciation, amortisation and inventory adjustments
• Overseeing VAT submissions and supporting statutory, tax and audit requirements
• Supporting cash flow, banking, treasury and foreign-exchange activities
• Providing guidance, mentoring and day-to-day support to the wider finance team
• Developing management reporting and providing commercial and operational insight
• Improving finance systems, controls, procedures and reporting capability
• Identifying opportunities to automate manual processes and support finance transformation
• Supporting system enhancements across Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Jet Reports and other reporting platforms
What we’re looking for:
• A qualified accountant—ACA, ACCA or CIMA—or a part-qualified accountant with strong relevant experience
• Experience in management accounting, commercial finance, FP&A or financial analysis
• Advanced Excel skills, including building reports, performing reconciliations and manipulating large volumes of data
• Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
• The ability to translate financial information into clear and practical business insight
• Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail, with the ability to step back and understand the wider commercial picture
• Confidence managing competing priorities in a fast-paced and changing environment
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Power BI, Jet Reports or other ERP and reporting systems would be advantageous.
