Your opportunity
We are currently looking for a Finance Assistant, in this position, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate processing of financial documents. You will report to the Finance Manager and be part of the Finance team.

You will be located at our Belfast site, and you should be within reasonable commuting distance from here.
What you’ll be doing
Main Responsibilities:
- Printing and processing purchase ledger invoices, obtaining manager approvals for services carried out and invoice checking against POs and stock cards
- Liaise with other departments across the organisation, following up outstanding invoices and resolve queries to ensure timely payment
- Maintain Accounts Payable inbox, provide remittances to suppliers and provide timely responses to supplier queries
- Ensure payments are appropriately authorised in line with Standard Operating Procedures
- Assist with Banking reconciliations
- Posting journals
- Updating Excel spreadsheets
- Filing and general administrative duties
- Carry out reconciliation of accounts and maintenance of AP excel workbooks
- Facilitate internal and external audits
- To process payments and income in an efficient, effective, accurate and timely manner
- Introduce efficiencies into the process
- Assist with completion of monthly analysis for Group finance and ad hoc analysis on request
What you’ll bring to the role
- A minimum of 5 GCSEs to include English Language and Mathematics Grade C and above (or equivalent)
- Has some relevant experience working in a busy Finance department
- Proven competency in complex Excel spreadsheets including analysis and management of large volumes of data
- Experience in month end process and accounts payable role
- Excellent attention to details, accuracy, ability to plan, organise and work to deadlines
- Using own initiative and judgement to make decisions
- Excellent interpersonal communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Computer literate and competent in the use of the Microsoft Office suite
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
