Hybrid Working

We have a Hybrid approach to working here at Engine - our preference is that you're located within a commutable distance of one of our offices so that we're able to interact and collaborate in person.

About the role

Supporting the Chief Commercial Officer of Engine by Starling and the Business Development team, the purpose of this role is to enhance effectiveness and increase productivity, and to support client and partner relationships, as well as marketing events.

What you'll get to do:

  • Coordinating schedules, diaries and managing calendars for the CCO to ensure activities are properly arranged with no conflicts. 
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support, including managing email, ad-hoc requests such as research and document preparation. 
  • Working with key members of the Business Development team to assist with scheduling meetings for business development purposes 
  • Support with coordinating and possibly attending relevant industry events and conferences; this would include liaison with event organisers, associated logistics and merchandise with support from the business development function 
  • Provide support for the internal comms function and managing updates to the Engine team on key activities 
  • Schedule and modify travel arrangements both domestic/international and arranging visas if required as well as managing related expense processes. 
  • Liaise with internal teams to set up meeting rooms, arrange catering, set up IT systems, meet and greet external guests and clients. 
  • Note taking and following up on action points post meeting. 
  • Tracking business expenses and providing expense reports and other MI to the CEO.
  • Assist in setting budget and approvals to ensure team spending remains in budget, including credit card management.
Requirements
  • You will be a team player with great organisational skills, detail oriented and have a proactive approach. 
  • You will be adept at building your own relationships and network with staff of clients and consulting firms 
  • You will enjoy understanding the context of a proposed meeting, and being able to explain the purpose and value of the meeting to a client
  • Discretion and good judgement in handling sensitive information. 
  • Effective self-management, time-management skills who is a self starter.

  1. Interview with members of the EA team and BD team
  2. Interview with CCO
