The opportunity

The Global Events Team at TechnologyAdvice manages a fast-growing product line of virtual and in-person client events; check out our examples of current work.  The Event Manager is responsible for end-to-end planning and event execution for both virtual and in-person events across EMEA. This is a client-facing role. This role requires experience in both virtual and in-person events, with virtual events serving as the initial focus; we anticipate this role will require travel of between 15-30% by H2 2026 to support in-person events as we scale. This role will also support virtual event needs globally as required, including conducting client meetings in different time zones. Delivering best-in-class client and attendee experiences are of the utmost importance. Attention to detail and adherence to deadlines are crucial for success. This role interfaces with high-level executives at global technology companies on a daily basis and as such, top-tier written and verbal communication skills are a requirement. Agency experience is a plus.

The incumbent will be located in the greater London, UK area with the ability to manage in-person events in central London on a regular basis. While currently an individual contributor, this role may assume people-management duties in the future based on business needs.

What you'll do
  • Oversee the complete lifecycle of virtual and in-person event planning and execution.
  • Manage multiple events concurrently ensuring tasks, deadlines, and cross-functional communications are handled effectively and without error, with an expected workload of 10-15 active events at any time.
  • Serve as a Cvent Webinar Super User, responsible for:
    • Developing event and registration landing pages.
    • Uploading assets and pre-recorded videos.
    • Building the virtual event environment.
    • Tracking registrations.
    • Generating pre- and post-event metric reports.
    • Conducting run-throughs.
    • Leading live and simulive virtual events.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with content writers, social media managers, and graphic designers to develop event promotion plans.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders by clearly communicating timelines and expectations to clients, ensuring optimal experiences for both clients and attendees.
  • Provide regular project updates to clients.
  • Deliver post-event reports to internal teams and clients.
  • Scout and secure venues, vendors, crew, speakers, and other items as needed for in-person events.
  • On-site event management for Roundtable Lunches, Lunch & Learns, Networking Dinners, and other events as needed.
  • Cross-channel attendee-management and procurement, including email, LinkedIn messaging, and phone outreach. 
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve event offerings.
Who you are
  • Experienced project management software user.
  • At least 5 years of experience in event management, with a strong focus on virtual events. Agency experience is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills through various communication platforms including Slack, email, and over the phone.
  • Strong organizational and timeline management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously.
  • Client-centric mindset with a focus on delivering exceptional experiences.
  • Creative problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
  • Strong technical skills.
  • Willingness to travel within EMEA as needed, up to 15-30%% in the future.

Salary Range
We seek to hire top-tier individuals and intend for our compensation to be at a rate that allows us to recruit and retain individuals who align with our core values, purpose, mission, and vision. Final total compensation is based on a multitude of factors including, but not limited to, skill level, relevant experience to the position, and cost of labor.

Annual pay range
£50,000£65,000 GBP
