In this role, you will own all aspects of the delivery of every project within the Launch squad. As a financial institution, we take our clients' finances seriously, and that commitment starts with our technology. Security, performance, architecture, and coding practices are the foundation of everything we do. As the engineering manager, you will spearhead all Mamo card related development, from initial card issuance to advanced features like freeze functionality and single use virtual cards. You'll work closely with our product manager and lead product designer to bring new features to life, ensuring best-in-class user experience.

- Work closely with Product Managers and Product Designers to identify user problems and solutions, and translate them into technical requirements.
- Design & implement system architecture alongside backend, frontend and mobile engineers.
- This is a hands-on role with technical work taking approximately 40% of the time.
- Manage and mentor senior developers.
- Perform code reviews and audits across frontend and backend codebases.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks and operational inefficiencies.
- Document technical infrastructure, systems and components.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and developments.
- Research and prototype technologies and integrations.
- Analyze and vet all third-party integrations.
- Adopt an attitude of extreme transparency about challenges, failures and successes.
- Set up, manage and improve CI/CD and release processes.

- Are able to break down a project into tasks that are consumable by engineers.
You have
- More than 7 years of professional experience with a minimum of 2 years as a tech lead.
- Ability to lead and manage people effectively with strong leadership and organizational abilities.
- Proven track record of designing and developing complex system architecture.
- Prior experience in working with Scrum and/or Agile methodologies.
- Exceptional time management skills and the ability to delegate effectively and efficiently.
- BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Engineering or similar relevant field.
- Track record of ideation and innovating excellent technology at scale.
- Deep and broad technical expertise (backend, frontend, mobile, devops, system architecture, testing, etc.).
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement of development practices and processes.
Bonus if you have
- Payments, Issuance, Fraud, Risk, E-Commerce or Finance background.
- Experience with Ruby on Rails, React, Flutter, Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, DevOps, Automation, BigQuery, SQL databases, Pub/sub.
