We’re looking for a UK-based Engineering Manager to lead our AdTech squad in the Growth pillar. This team’s mission is to help Depop expand into new markets and help millions of new users discover our community. You’ll play a pivotal role in scaling our paid marketing efforts, driving signups, and enabling measurable growth.
You’ll be leading the team through integration of new CDPs to build marketing audiences and unlock new capabilities with our data, improving our global privacy consent management, and scaling our product feeds solution to handle millions of products across multiple platforms. This is a great opportunity to combine technical leadership with real business impact: managing the team that is building the systems that power Depop’s growth, while shaping the future of how fashion resale reaches the world.
What you'll do:
Deliver high impact solutions
Lead your squad to ship high-quality, data-driven solutions that directly improve user acquisition and paid marketing effectiveness. You’ll own delivery and ensure your team’s work translates into measurable growth.
Lead and support your squad
Manage a cross-functional team of 3–6 engineers, with a growth opportunity to manage other managers. Your focus will be on enabling them to perform at their best while fostering happiness, motivation, and resilience. Hands-on contribution is encouraged, but your superpower is leadership.
Collaborate across functions
Partner with product, marketing, analytics and data to define priorities, align on goals, set strategic objectives and drive results across the Growth pillar.
Shape culture
Champion inclusion, diversity, and team health. Foster a culture of curiosity, respect, and continuous improvement, aligned with Depop’s values and community-first DNA.
We’d love to hear from you if you have some of the following:
A track record as an Engineering Manager building high-performing teams, delivering impactful roadmaps, and growing engineers.
Experience in MarTech/AdTech — from product catalogues and conversion data to targeting, measurement, and the evolving privacy landscape.
Background in data engineering or hands-on experience with technologies like Databricks, Spark, Kafka, SQL or Airflow.
A strong sense of ownership and delivery mindset — you love solving complex problems across domains, and making a big impact.
Great decision-making skills under ambiguity, with a bias towards simplicity and execution.
Excellent stakeholder management: aligning diverse goals to deliver outcomes everyone’s proud of.
