Job Title: Motor Engineer

Location:  Remote

About the role 

We’re looking for an engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for engineering estimates in a timely manner specific to the requirements of the client, to check and confirm the cost we are authorising is fair, reasonable and related to the incident in question.

Key responsibilities 

  • Check incident circumstances against work estimated for to see if the damage could be related to the incident.
  • Check estimated costs are fair and reasonable.
  • Check estimates are within customer specific rates if a network repairer has been allocated.
  • Amend estimates to correct customer specific rates if a network repairer has been allocated.
  • Negotiate with non-network repairers in order to bring inflated costs down.
  • Authorise incident related work to repairers.
  • Correctly value vehicles for total losses.

Skills and experience 

  • Engineering background and body shop experience
  • Experience of using Audatex and the Case Management System
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal/written communication
