Department OverviewResponsible for expanding Motorola Solutions' fixed video sales through our direct business, this team is focused on accelerating our government fixed video solutions business across Europe and AMEA.
Job Description
This role is primarily remote with expectation of travel across the UK including some travel internationally.
Your role as End User Video Account Executive will include, but not limited to the following:
Promote and sell MSI’s products and services to Government accounts through direct customer contact or via partners, within the assigned geographic territory.
Create demand in the Government space for MSI Video Security solutions.
Create, nurture and respond to sales opportunities and close sales orders.
Weekly and quarterly forecasting and reporting around direct, and partner pipelines.
Prepare proposals and quotes for prospective customers and provide them with published prices, and information regarding terms of sales and delivery dates. Discounts beyond the published price pages must be proposed and reviewed with the appropriate approvers.
Conduct market research on an on-going basis to identify new markets, trends, changes, and revenue potential and opportunity for MSI within the Video business.
Conduct sales calls and schedule “local” promotional work. Regularly, with discipline, track sales activities with all channels, end-users and contractors, using MSI’s Salesforce.com lead and project tracking software database.
Prepare business plans for rollout of product sets that come from newly acquired companies on an as needed basis.
Provide first level technical guidance to customers (end-users), integrators and partners.
Communicate end-user customer requirements internally to engineering and operations departments to help implement product improvements and new product releases.
Provide reporting to product management and development of new products as they come out in the marketplace.
Essential Functions:
Supervise and manage MSI’s Government Video business across the portfolio.
Identify key Video Security market influencers, establish contact and demonstrate to them the advantages and utility of our products.
Work as contributor/manager to win new customers and increase the video sales in the region.
Manage Distributors, integrators, and/or partners in order to drive opportunities through the sales cycle.
Manage pipelines to ensure business opportunity creation and proper management.
Create demand from the accounts assigned to the Account Executive.
Work towards achieving monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals assigned to the Account Executive.
Compile data on alternative product offerings and pricing and report it back to head office; maintain working knowledge of those offerings.
Territory:
The Account Executive - shall have the responsibility to cover the assigned territory within the United Kingdom & Ireland. Frequent travel may be required.
Basic Requirements
Government sales experience, this can be at a local level.
Video security sales experience is a desirable, but do not let it put you off applying if you do not have this.
Track Record of meeting and/or exceeding financial targets.
Experience building and managing a sales pipeline and the ability to forecast business accurately to management.
Excellent Communication and Presentation skills.
Experience working with and/or managing a distribution or partner network is a plus.
Ability to work with multiple business units to achieve common objectives,
Good comprehension of English language, both written and verbal.
The role requires up to 30% of travel across the United Kingdom & Ireland and occasional travel to other countries.
