Role Summary
As a Sales Engineer, you will play a critical role in driving sales and delivering solutions by providing technical expertise, building strong client and partner relationships, and supporting our sales team. Your primary focus will be on understanding client needs, designing tailored cybersecurity solutions, and ensuring successful implementation and adoption.
Key Responsibilities

  • Client Engagement:
    • Collaborate with the sales team to identify and qualify opportunities by understanding client requirements and challenges.
    • Conduct detailed technical presentations and product demonstrations to prospective clients.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring ongoing engagement and satisfaction.
    • Provide technical leadership during trials, proof-of-concepts (POCs), and complex demos, ensuring alignment with client expectations.
    • Effectively communicate the value and benefits of Symantec's and Carbon Black's cybersecurity solutions.
  • Solution Design and Delivery:
    • Work closely with clients to architect and design tailored cybersecurity solutions that address their specific needs.
    • Prepare detailed technical specifications and requirements documentation to support proposed solutions.
    • Oversee the implementation and deployment of cybersecurity solutions, ensuring successful integration and adoption.
    • Provide post-sales support and technical guidance to ensure client satisfaction and long-term success.
  • Partner Collaboration:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners to understand their offerings and collaborate on joint opportunities.
    • Assist partners in technically qualifying solutions and providing the necessary support to drive sales.
    • Share knowledge and best practices with partners to enhance their ability to promote and implement our solutions.
  • Internal Collaboration and Development:
    • Work closely with product management and development teams to provide feedback on client experiences and product enhancements.
    • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop and deliver effective sales enablement materials and campaigns.
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends, technologies, and best practices to maintain technical expertise.


Qualifications
Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or global equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a sales engineering or technical pre-sales role within the cybersecurity sector.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and solutions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Fluent in English
  • Right to work in UK/Europe


Preferred:

  • Industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, CISM, CompTIA Security+).
  • Experience working with various cybersecurity products and solutions.
  • Fluency in additional European languages.
