JOB PROFILE DESCRIPTION
As an EDM Support Engineer at Kainos, you’ll play a key role in helping us deliver responsive, high-quality technical support to our external customers. You will collaborate closely with senior engineers and customer support consultants to investigate and resolve technical issues, contribute to internal documentation, and continuously improve your technical skills.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their technical career who enjoys solving problems, learning new technologies, and being part of a collaborative team. You’ll gain hands-on experience in cloud platforms, web services, and development environments while supporting real-world production systems.
Your key responsibilities will also include:
Assist in troubleshooting and resolving customer-reported issues under guidance from senior team members.
Work with other support engineers to triage, document, and escalate complex issues.
Contribute to documentation and internal knowledge bases to share learnings and solutions.
Support internal testing, validation, and analysis of reported issues.
Participate in post-deployment services.
Learn and grow technical expertise in Workday Extend, cloud technologies (especially AWS), and web services.
Help improve service quality by identifying recurring issues and suggesting improvements.
Collaborate with team members on shared tasks and learn from mentorship opportunities.
Minimum (essential) requirements:
Experience working with Cloud technologies preferably AWS.
Experience/Understanding of RESTful APIs and web service technologies (REST, SOAP).
Development experience in working with Java/Node JS languages.
Experience developing serverless AWS apps.
Experience working with CI/CD pipelines.
Experience developing & coding within agile delivery environments.
A strong customer service mindset with good communication and collaboration skills.

Willingness to adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Desirable:
Obtained Workday HCM certification (valid).
Obtained Workday Extend certifications from an accredited body in your area of specialisation (must be valid).
Experience developing Workday Extend applications.
Experience in providing application support and solving low/medium and complex problems.
Have AWS certified Developer Associate certification.
