Team / Role Overview

The Citi Early Career Apprenticeships & Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Execution Team comprises of recruiters and program managers, supporting Citi businesses in the attraction, selection and program management of apprenticeship and DEI hires. The Early Career Program Manager is a subject matter expert and responsible for delivery of Early Career & lateral talent programs both locally and globally in partnership with HR colleagues and business stakeholders inclusive of attraction, selection, hiring and program management contributing to the execution of the overall strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

Drive and own specific early career & lateral apprenticeship and inclusion programs. Leverage relevant HR & business partners to ensure effective execution of owned programs:

  • Program manager responsibilities to attract and develop early career talent and expanding Apprentice populations through managing well executed programs
  • Partner closely with Head of Early Career Apprenticeships & DEI Execution on the delivery of all programs
  • Accountable for overall success of owned programs, reviewing effectiveness and processes against team objectives for continuous improvement
  • Apply a commercial mind-set to ensure programs are delivered in the most efficient manner, measuring value of programs while achieving hiring excellence and an unparalleled candidate experience
  • Proactively partner with the Human Resources counterparts, business stakeholders, and Program Management teams to ensure strong working relationships and best practice delivery of programs
  • Act as key point of contact and partner with Citi’s partners including Apprenticeship Training Providers.
  • Support mid and long term career development of program participants by providing career coaching.
  • Ensure all program participants and managers are fully trained and briefed on all aspects of the program life-cycle.
  • Attend and facilitate specific Apprenticeship related events as required
  • Support broader activities as appropriate across the wider global Early Career team

What we’ll need from you:

  • Strong Program Management experience
  • Knowledge of HR and / or recruitment and prior experience navigating complex global models
  • Understanding of apprentice market and experience managing apprentice programs
  • Relationship management experience and ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders across different geographies at all organisational levels
  • Strong influencing and communication skills; easily consults and negotiates with internal and external stakeholders regionally and globally
  • Understanding of developmental requirements of apprentice populations
  • Able to identify continuous improvement opportunities through evidence backed decisions
  • Risk awareness
  • Understanding of financial services industry and culture an advantage
