Reports to: Manager of Domain Solution Architects
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Domain Solution Architect (DSA) with deep expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and Cloud-Native technologies to join our team. As a DSA, you will act as a trusted advisor to enterprise customers, guiding them in leveraging SUSE’s open source solutions (including Linux, Kubernetes, Edge, and AI/ML platforms) to solve complex business challenges.
You will bridge the gap between customer business objectives and technical implementation, shaping solution designs that integrate SUSE products with AI-driven architectures, data platforms, and cloud ecosystems.
In this role, you will also support SUSE field Solution Architects with deep technical expertise to help them drive impactful customer engagements and ensure technical success in complex opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Engagement & Advisory
Act as a strategic advisor to enterprise customers on AI/ML adoption, MLOps, and open-source driven architectures.
Partner with sales teams to identify opportunities where AI and SUSE solutions can deliver measurable business value.
Solution Design & Architecture
Design AI-enabled architectures leveraging SUSE Cloud-Native, SUSE Linux Enterprise, and SUSE Edge computing solutions.
Define reference architectures and blueprints for deploying AI/ML workloads across hybrid, multi-cloud, and edge environments.
Ensure solutions align with customer compliance, scalability, and security requirements.
Thought Leadership
Drive innovation by showcasing how SUSE’s open-source stack accelerates AI adoption.
Contribute to whitepapers, best-practice guides, and technical blogs on AI/ML in enterprise environments.
Present at customer briefings, workshops, and industry conferences.
Enablement & Collaboration
Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to shape SUSE’s AI/ML strategy and roadmap.
Provide technical enablement to partners and internal teams on AI-related architectures and tools.
Support SUSE field Solution Architects with advanced technical knowledge to strengthen customer confidence and accelerate adoption.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Expertise
Strong experience with AI/ML frameworks (e.g. TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face, ONNX, Scikit-learn).
Knowledge of MLOps practices: model lifecycle management, CI/CD for ML, monitoring, and retraining pipelines.
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, containerization, and GPU/accelerator optimization for ML workloads.
Proficiency in Linux systems, distributed systems, and cloud-native architecture.
Familiarity with edge AI deployment strategies and real-time inference.
Domain & Business Knowledge
Understanding of enterprise AI adoption patterns across industries (manufacturing, finance, telco, healthcare, public sector).
Ability to map business use cases to technical solutions.
Soft Skills
Exceptional communication and presentation skills for executive and technical audiences.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and build trust with C-level stakeholders.
Strategic mindset with problem-solving skills in complex enterprise environments.
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications in Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD/CKS), AI/ML (AWS, GCP, Azure AI Engineer), or Linux administration.
Experience with data platforms (e.g. Kafka, Spark, Snowflake, Databricks) and AI pipelines.
Open-source contributions in the AI/ML or cloud-native ecosystem.
