Reporting to: Executive Managing Director, UK&I
Leadership Team: UK&I Leadership Team
People Management: Strategic Individual Contributor (No Direct Reports)

Role Purpose

The Director of Strategic Growth & Partnerships is responsible for creating, developing and activating the external growth engine of the UK&I business. This role will drive growth by building strategic partnerships, strengthening customer advocacy, expanding industry influence and creating new routes to market. Operating across customers, partners, industry bodies, technology providers and strategic alliances, the role will identify opportunities that accelerate revenue growth, improve market position and enhance customer value.

As a member of the UK&I Leadership Team reporting directly to the Executive Managing Director, you will have direct influence on strategic decisions and regular exposure at Executive and Board level. You will own the UK&I Strategic Growth & Partnerships strategy with clear visibility of your commercial impact, work across Commercial, Customer Success, Marketing, Product, Delivery, Finance and Data Science, and build your profile as a recognised voice in the industry.

What does success look like?

Success in this role will be demonstrated by building a strong partner-sourced pipeline and generating measurable revenue growth through increased ARR, NRR and new commercial opportunities. You will establish and retain high-value strategic partnerships, negotiate and activate commercially beneficial agreements, and strengthen customer advocacy through referrals and senior executive engagement. Success will also mean increasing Worldpanel’s industry visibility and thought leadership, while creating new routes to market and ecosystem-led growth initiatives that deliver sustainable commercial impact.

The key responsibilities in this role:
• Strategic growth: Develop and deliver the UK&I Strategic Growth & Partnerships strategy, identifying new opportunities and routes to market that drive ARR, NRR, bookings and long-term growth.
• Strategic partnerships & agreements: Build and manage relationships with strategic partners, technology providers and industry organisations, and lead the negotiation of strategic agreements and joint go-to-market programmes that deliver mutual commercial benefit.
• Customer advocacy & executive engagement: Build senior relationships with strategic customers and establish advocacy programmes, advisory councils and ambassador networks that generate referrals and new opportunities.
• Market influence & intelligence: Raise our industry profile through thought leadership and external representation, and bring market and competitor insight to the UK&I Leadership Team to inform strategic decisions.

You will have the following experience:
  •       Experience negotiating complex commercial contracts and partnership agreements
  •       Significant experience in strategic partnerships, commercial growth or business development
  •       A proven track record of delivering measurable commercial growth
  •      Experience operating successfully in a matrix organisation and influencing senior stakeholders without direct authority
The skills and capabilities that we are looking for:
  •        Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to identify and realise growth opportunities
  •        Executive relationship management and networking capabilities, with credibility at Executive and Board level
  •        Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills

What you need to know about the Belfast Tech Scene

If asked to name the birthplace of the RMS Titanic, you might not say Belfast. Similarly, if asked to name Europe's leading destination for foreign direct investment in new software development, Belfast might not come to mind. Yet, both are true. The city has emerged as a tech powerhouse, recently ranked among the best in the U.K. for tech careers — especially for software developers. It also leads the U.K. with the highest percentage of software development jobs advertised.
