Job Description:
The Director of Sales Operations will play a pivotal role in scaling Ohmium’s sales operations to meet aggressive growth targets. This individual will optimize our sales processes, implement best-in-class sales technologies, and drive the sales strategy that aligns with our mission and market opportunities. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, the Director of Sales Operations will be a key leader in our organization, working closely with executive leadership to drive revenue growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
· Process Development & Optimization: Create and deploy streamlined sales processes and systems to enhance operational efficiency and sales productivity.
· Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams, including legal, marketing, product, and finance, to ensure cohesive alignment on goals, strategies, and customer insights.
· Forecasting and Budgeting: Manage the sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes, ensuring accuracy and accountability. Ensure the availability and provision of relevant bookings, pipeline, and forecast reports and dashboards to sales management. Manage the sales pipeline and forecasting to ensure accurate predictions and planning.
· Sales Enablement: Enable sales effectiveness through technology, process optimization, messaging, and learning initiatives. Optimize the allocation of sales resources to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness. Develop and oversee comprehensive sales training programs to enhance team skills and product knowledge. Provide first-line support to sales teams for operational and administrative matters.
· Team Leadership: Direct and mentor the sales operations team by establishing clear objectives, managing performance, and providing continuous coaching and development. Oversee the deal desk and deal structuring processes to support sales teams in closing deals. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and high performance within the sales operations team.
· Performance Metrics & Reporting: Establish and maintain key sales performance metrics and dashboards to deliver actionable insights to senior leadership. Provide required reporting, analytics, and business intelligence to support strategic decision-making. Leverage data analytics to monitor and assess sales performance, identifying trends, challenges, and opportunities for growth.
· Sales Incentive and Quota Attainment: Manage the development and deployment of sales commissions, quotas, accounts, and territory assignments. Act as a primary contact for sales compensation issues.
· Technology Integration: Assess and integrate sales technology tools and platforms to boost sales efficiency and effectiveness. Support the effective use of corporate CRM and SFA systems to raise salesforce productivity and compliance.
· Strategic Planning and Implementation: Collaborate with the leadership team to formulate and implement a strategic sales plan that aligns with the company's growth targets and objectives.
· Customer Satisfaction: Lead initiatives to improve customer satisfaction and retention through optimized sales processes and support systems.
· Market Awareness: Stay updated on industry trends and competitor strategies to adapt and innovate sales approaches.
· Compliance: Ensure all sales activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements. Manage deal approval workflows and processes to ensure consistency and compliance
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
· 8+ years of experience in sales operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
· Experience in technology or industrial sectors. Green hydrogen or renewable energy sector experience is a plus.
· Must have a solid knowledge of sales processes, CRM systems, sales compensation, and enablement tools.
