We are seeking a Director of Product Management to join our growing Product Management team at CAIS. Reporting directly to the Chief Product Officer, this role is responsible for defining the vision, objectives, and strategic roadmap for product execution in close collaboration with the Product Team. The ideal candidate is an exceptional cross-functional communicator with strong attention to detail, creativity, and time management skills. They possess the flexibility and drive to consistently deliver mission critical projects with tight timelines and competing priorities. Responsibilities: 

  • Define and communicate the product vision and strategic roadmap, ensuring alignment with customer needs, market trends, and business goals 
  • Utilize customer feedback, competitive analysis, and other metrics to inform and prioritize the product roadmap. 
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders, including engineering, design, marketing, sales, operations and executive teams to gather and document requirements, ensuring alignment with product objectives. 
  • Act as the primary liaison between internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring consistent communication, including planning product rollouts and providing operational support post-launch. 
  • Manage the product backlog, prioritizing features, enhancements, and fixes that are critical to achieving business and product goals.  
  • Write user stories, define acceptance criteria, and prepare release communications, ensuring thorough documentation for quality and audit purposes. 
  • Oversee the product development process from concept to launch, including testing prototype interfaces and workflows. 
  • Work in an Agile/Scrum environment, participating in sprints, managing both product and sprint backlogs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.  
  • Champion the adoption of cutting-edge technologies and innovative methodologies, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and adaptability. 
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact of product initiatives on organizational efficiency and effectiveness. 
  • Continuously track KPIs to ensure alignment with strategic goals, enabling data-driven decision-making. 

Qualifications: 

  • 10+ years of experience as a Product Manager, with at least 5 years of experience working within the Financial Services industry (Alternative Investments and/or Wealth Management space strongly preferred), experience working in a two-sided digital marketplace a plus 
  • Experience in creating, maintaining, and prioritizing product roadmaps, design requirements, and user stories. 
  • Demonstrated ability to break down complex ideas into actionable plans while understanding interdependencies to deliver effective solutions. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong working relationships across all levels and specializations across the organization. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to craft user stories, write product documentation tailored to various audiences, and keep teams and stakeholders informed. 
  • Experience with requirements tracking tools such as Jira, Confluence, or an equivalent, and/or experience working with Agile methodologies  
  • Scrum Master, Agile, and PMP certification preferred  
  • Proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities and shift focus seamlessly as needed. 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.

CAIS’ compensation package includes a market competitive salary, a performance bonus, and exceptional benefits. If you are located in New York, New York, the base salary range for this role is $195,500 - $265,500. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location.
